Meet: drops in the nose "Dioxydin"
Scientists around the world are constantly striving to find the most effective drugs for the treatment of diseases. One of the priorities is to increase the body's ability to resist various infections. Therefore, in the chemical-pharmaceutical institutions, strong bactericidal antimicrobials of a broad spectrum of action are developed. These include drops in the nose of "Dioxydin."
The history of the appearance of "Dioxydin"
In stationary medical institutions of the Russian Federation, "Dioxydin" as an antibacterial agent has been used for about 30 years. Before that, about 15 years, various experiments and clinical trials were conducted, which were summarized at the All-Union Scientific Research Institute of Pharmaceutical Chemistry in Moscow. The drug was developed based on observation of biochemical characteristics of more than two hundred substances of this series.
As a result, droplets were created in the nose of "Dioxydin" and "Hinoksidin", which is a modification of Dioxydin for oral administration. Currently, both of these drugs are produced only in the Russian Federation. The reason for the development and use of this medicine was its special chemotherapeutic effect, which was revealed during tests on various infectious pathologies, such as pyelonephritis and purulent meningitis, as well as some others.
The composition of "Dioxydin"
Currently, there are three main types of the release form of this drug. For example, drops in the nose "Dioxydin" can be a one-percent solution for external and intracavitary use, located in ampoules (0.01 liters), packed in packs of 10 pieces. In 1 ml of this drug is 0.01 grams of hydroxymethyl-quinoxylindioxide.
There is a variety of this product, representing a 0.5-percent solution. It is also packaged in packs of 10 ampoules, each of which can include either 0.01 or 0.02 liters. The active compounds of the hydroxymethyl-quinoxylindioxide contained in it will be 0.005 g.
In addition to drops, there is a special ointment "Dioxydin" for external use. It is a five-percent substance, packed in jars or tubes of 0,025, 0,03, 0,05, 0,06 and 0,1 kg. In this case, the amount of the active substance of hydroxymethyl-quinoxylindioxide is 0.05 g.
Indications for use
Drops in the nose of "Dioxydin" have a bitter taste, a yellowish color and are completely odorless. Their action is due to inhibition of the formation of DNA in the cells of microorganisms, while they have no effect on the formation of protein and RNA. The substance hydroxymethylquinoxylindioxide creates structural disturbances in the cell membranes and nucleotide of the microorganism with inhibition of the action of toxins and bacterial nuclease.
The main areas of application of a drug such as Dioxydin (drops) are systemic drug treatment of severe forms of bacterial infections in cases where other antimicrobial agents are ineffective. It works well on microorganisms such as vulgar proteus, dysentery, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Klebsiella rod, as well as Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella, pathogenic anaerobes.
In addition, Dioxydin drops are administered in the nose to adults with many types of rhinitis, to prevent or stop the development of sinusitis and other infections of the ENT organs. Usually they are applied 4-5 times a day for several drops in each nostril.
However, it should be noted that "Dioxydin" is one of the strongest medical chemicals, therefore for children it is very rarely prescribed. The main cause may be the development of sinusitis. But in any case, it should be used carefully, in accordance with all the recommendations of the attending physician and constantly monitor the occurrence of possible side effects.
Side effects of this drug may be expressed depending on the individual intolerance of the chemical. But the main ones are headache, chills, muscle twitching and dyspepsia. Usually to prevent these phenomena in conjunction with "Dioxydin" prescribe antihistamines and calcium. If necessary, you should reduce the dose or immediately seek the advice of a specialist.
