"Lyrics" (tablets) - what is this drug

"Lyrics" (tablets) is a drug related to the antiepileptic group. It contains the active substance - pregabalin, an analogue of gamma-aminobutyrate. The tablet may contain a different amount of active substance, for example, "Lyric 300" contains 300 mg of pregabalin.

The use of this drug in adults with neuropathic pain is shown. In adults with partial convulsive syndrome, accompanied or not accompanied by secondary generalization, it is used as an auxiliary.

The drug "Lyrical" (tablets) is contraindicated in the presence of an increased sensitivity to any of its components of the drug in the anamnesis. Pregnancy and lactation are also contraindications. You can not prescribe this medicine to children and adolescents under 17. With caution, it is necessary to prescribe the drug to patients with kidney failure, as well as with rare hereditary diseases.

Medication "Lyrics" (tablets) should be taken 2-3 times a day (daily dose of 150-600 mg) regardless of food intake. The initial dose is usually 150 mg per day. Taking into account the results obtained, after a week, the dosage can be increased to 300 mg per day, and, if necessary, up to 600 mg after one more week. Discontinue treatment gradually over a minimum of a week.

The preparation "Lyrics" instruction indicates a long list of adverse reactions. They can occur when it is used for a long time. A wide range of adverse reactions can be caused by almost any organ or system.

- tachycardia, dyspnea, swelling (generalized and peripheral),

- dry mouth and nasal mucosa, fatigue,

- vomiting, constipation, flatulence,

- papular rash, sweating,

- erectile disfunction.

Significantly less frequent adverse reactions occur, such as neutropenia, hypoglycemia, anorexia, parosmia, hypokinesia, mydriasis, strabismus, oscilloscopy (subjective sensation that the subjects under consideration fluctuate), eye irritation, spasm, hypoacusia, lowering blood pressure, sinus bradycardia and arrhythmias, Rhinitis, cough, nasopharyngitis, snoring, gastroesophageal reflux, increased salivation, pancreatitis, ascites, urticaria, cold sweat, myalgia, back and limb pain, swelling of the joints, muscle twitching, rhabdomy from, neck pain, urinary incontinence, dysuria and oliguria, amenorrhea and dysmenorrhea, fatigue, fever, hypertrophy of the mammary glands, chills.

Due to the fact that the medicinal product "Lyrics" can cause drowsiness and dizziness, it is necessary to temporarily stop potentially dangerous activity (driving vehicles, the use of complex equipment). Only after determining the individual reaction of the patient to taking this drug can you return to normal life.
