"Later remorse": actors. "Later repentance": a description of the series

The series "Later repentance" was shot in 2013 by Oksana Bayrak, in the same year he premiered on the First Russian TV Channel. What did this time offer its audience "Queen of melodramas" and what feedback did her work receive from the audience?

Oksana Bairak and her work on "Late Repentance"

The personality of Oksana Bayrak is quite remarkable, at least in Ukrainian cinema. The owner of her own production studio (Studio Bayrak), despite criticism in her address and any crises in the country, continues to produce several films a year.

The genre of melodrama is her favorite, but the director has not yet come across the form of the series. Bairak on the question of how many episodes in the film "Later remorse", in an interview with one of the TV channels, long before the premiere, said that 16. At the same time she added that in the six months of the shooting process she had become so "merged" with the story and her characters that The end of filming involuntarily burst into tears.

Since the total length of the mounted material is about 720 minutes (quite a long time), Oksana Bayrak initially tried to dilute the main plot melodramatic line with elements of the detective and thriller.

"Later repentance": content

Given the length of the long period covered by the plot, "Later repentance", how many episodes are needed to tell this story, Oksana Bayrak planned the shooting process.

The story begins with the main characters - Kira Arsenyeva and Sergei Sazhnev - young (just 16 years old) and very fond of each other. But when Kira became pregnant from her young friend, her mother Mila forces the girl to have an abortion. For Kira this is too much shock - she is trying to commit suicide. After her attempt failed, Kira breaks up with Sergei, sits down on antidepressants, escapes from home and marries early.

After that, the life of the main characters turns into a series of mistakes. Cyrus lives with the unloved man, who through his fault eventually ends up in prison. Sergei tries to build relationships with other women, but life is still faded and tasteless. Prior to Kira's arrest, they manage to meet only once, but due to a misunderstanding, Sergei begins to think that his first love has developed a fairly successful marriage and leaves attempts to establish contact.

The melodrama "Late remorse" ends with a classic happy ending: old and grieving sorrow, Kira and Sergei meet again and never again part.

"Later repentance": actors and roles

The young Cyrus Arseniev was played by the 20-year-old actress Anastasia Richey (t / c "The Brothers Karamazov", 2009), at a more mature age Anna Sinyakina intercepted the baton. The role of Sergei Sazhnev in his youth was played by young Alexei Barbinov, who previously acted mainly in the clips of pop singers (Via Gra, Angelica Agurbash), then he was succeeded by Artem Krestnikov.

The roles of the Arseniev family members went to the following actors:

  • Father - Oleg Maslennikov-Voitov ("Unloved", 2012);
  • Mother - Regina Miannik;
  • Lika's sister - Maya Chaika (a character in her childhood), Jana Glushchenko ("Father's instinct", 2012);
  • Brother Kostya - Andrey Kostash (a character in his childhood), Georgy Moskalyuk.

"Later remorse" is a film in which Maxim Drozd ("Penalty", 2004), Darina Loboda ("Matchmakers-5", 2011), Igor Vernik ("Heat", 2006), Natalia Vasko (" Territory of Beauty ", 2009), Sergey Kalantai (" Efrosinya ", 2010-13), Daria Volga (" Efrosinya ", 2010), etc.

Anna Sinyakina as Kira

Anna Sinyakin first saw the viewer in the film Karen Shakhnazarov's "Full Moon Day", and then in the cult film "Voroshilovsky Shooter" (directed by S. Govorukhin). It seems that the actress is not particularly eager to make a career in film - for all these years she starred in just 8 films. But in theatrical productions, it is quite in demand.

For the film "Later Repentance" actors Oksana Bayrak, according to the director, were selected based on the correspondence of the real personal qualities of the performers with the distinctive features of their characters. Maybe, therefore, the meek and defenseless Sinyakina, in the role of the long-suffering Kira, looks so organic: her main character constantly becomes a victim of intrigues and dutifully accepts any turns in destiny.

"Later remorse" is a film that interested the actress to play several ages of one character. Anna Sinyakina admitted in an interview with one of the TV channels that she had not had such an acting experience yet.

Artem Krestnikov and his character Sergei Sazhnev

In the series "Later Repentance" actors faced the need to reincarnate several times as their characters mature. So Artyom Krestnikov (a graduate of GITIS) plays Sergei Sazhnev - the favorite main character - in several age segments.

For the filming in the series Krestnikov dropped about 20 kg. When asked by journalists about his character, his main goal is to convey through his hero to the audience one simple truth: "Men, take care of women!" The actor says that love is in life most often alone and for it it is worth keeping to the end. And the bitter experience of his hero is proof of that.

Regina Miannik as Mila Arsenyeva

For the film "Later remorse" the actors, as already mentioned, were wanted colorful. The role of the main villain, who succeeds in the course of the story to break down the life of many heroes, went to the most controversial actress - Regina Männik.

Red-haired, with sharp features Regina Männik starred in several films Oksana Bayrak and always played strong women, even a little aggressive. However, the actress admits that she prefers to be weak in life and give initiative in the hands of men.

Mila Arsenyeva in "Late Repentance" - the source of all conflicts: she forces to force Kira to abort, separates from Sergei and thereby breaks the girl's life; She keeps all the truths and fouls in the family of her husband, whom he does not like and who is cheating; She deprives women of happiness of their girlfriend; Indirectly becomes the reason that her youngest daughter strikes into prostitution - in a word, everything is in the best traditions of melodramas for a female audience. And it is with the lips of her character that the sacramental phrase is pronounced in the final series of the film: "This is my - later remorse".

The series "Later repentance" caused a flurry of reviews on the forums on the Internet, not only from women, but also from men.

Interestingly, most reviews are associated with "tasteless" makeup of actresses and their "terrible" hairstyles, as well as unmasked wrinkles, etc.

Positive feedback is received by the play of the actor Maxim Drozd and Regina Miannik, reproaches are being made to the rest of the cast. Also, the audience speaks of the improbability of the plot and the large number of "stamps" that "roam" from melodrama to melodrama. However, about 30% of reviews remain positive and come mainly from ardent fans of Oksana Bayrak's creativity.

The quality of movies is always a contentious issue: every spectator evaluates the plot and veracity of the acting, based on his own life experience, taste preferences and emotional needs. So it's possible to decide whether to watch the series or not, paradoxically, you can only see at least a few episodes.
