Inventions of Leonardo da Vinci: Legacy of the Legislator of Engineering Thought

Da Vinci invariably excites the imagination of those who are not indifferent to progress and development. Among the other Titans of the Renaissance, he is a giant. It can be called even more than the son of his era. In modern terms, he is a trend-setter. Very many people were equal to him, and so far the great name is often used in articles on natural science, and not only. His way of life was radically different from that of others. But many are more interested in another aspect of the problem - the legacy of the great Master.

Inventions of Leonardo da Vinci experts are divided into 4 categories - flying machines, military vehicles, architectural and type "other", which includes some other devices that can not be attributed to the previous three categories.

Especially interesting are Leonardo da Vinci's flying machines. These works showed the way to the old dream of man - heaven. At once we will make a reservation - it did not create an operating model. The problem was that man's strength is clearly not enough to raise his own weight in the air. In his project, the master assumed that the person would have to operate the car lying down, rotating the pedals to power the huge wings of 33 feet. This machine works if the person is already in the air, but it's impossible to get off the ground.

Nevertheless, the invention of da Vinci in aeronautics was the basis for the development of modern aircraft - aircraft. The aerodynamic calculations of the ancient Master were useful to the inventors of the present. When he developed his flying machine, he used observation and imagination. He wrote that he was inspired by birds, bats (like more massive animals still capable of flying) and ordinary kites. We know that the inventions of Leonardo da Vinci are not always perfect by modern standards. But for his time he was the most practical thinker and the bravest inventor.

Leonardo da Vinci's military inventions include an armored car. It is the predecessor of a modern tank. She could move in any direction and use a variety of tools. Such an invention could have a very strong deterrent effect on the enemy's army. The machine was a set of light guns on a round platform. The latter was to be covered with protective material, similar to the tortoise shell. In the center there was a place for the main guide. The movement of the machine was to be provided by eight people, which activated special levers. The problem with this invention was that the machine could not move because of the improper arrangement of the levers. It is believed that the pacifist da Vinci deliberately made his work imperfect, so that it was impossible to use an armored car in order to destroy people.

The inventions of Leonardo da Vinci in the field of architecture are diverse. Most interesting is his development of an ideal city. The great thinker witnessed the death of a huge number of people in Milan from the plague. This prompted him to create a city project with improved communications and opportunities to provide adequate sanitation. The city had to include a large number of channels for draining the liquid. All he divided into the upper and lower, the roads were very wide, almost all houses provided for stables (Da Vinci was an animal lover). The houses had to be full of light and air. To realize this project, it would be necessary to rebuild Milan again, so it remained on paper.

To the category "other" is the device da Vinci for scuba diving. It included a leather suit and a special bubble that could be used to control the immersion. This development was created when the Master came to Venice. There for the war with the ships such an invention would be very useful. This work da Vinci was little known to the general public.

Until now, people are trying to understand how this man managed so much. It seems that the solution lies in his diligence and self-discipline.
