Inhaler-reducer oxygen. Description

Inhaler-reducer oxygen medical is designed to reduce the pressure in the balloon to the set value, as well as for aerosol therapy. The device is also used to connect ventilator equipment (artificial ventilation in the lungs) in conditions of transportation of victims or directly at the scene. The oxygen reducer is connected to the valve.

The device can be used for first aid in case of fires, gas contamination, smoke. The equipment is also used in asphyxia, oxygen starvation, to relieve the attacks of bronchial asthma. The device is safe to use, its use does not require special preparation. The oxygen reducer can also be used by employees who do not have any qualifications.

In addition to reducing pressure, the device contributes to maintaining it at the optimum level automatically. The oxygen reducer is attached to the cylinders by means of union nuts. Devices are divided according to the working pressure, throughput. The oxygen reducer can be direct or reverse action. In the first case, the control valve opens due to the gas pressure. In the reverse-action reducer, on the contrary, the valve closes. This model, it should be noted, is considered the most reliable and, in this connection, more widespread.

The oxygen reducer of the reverse action is quite compact. Its relatively simple design includes two cameras. One of them - working - has low pressure, the second - high. Between them there is a valve. It is affected by 2 springs through the membrane. The second chamber is connected to the balloon, so the pressure in these parts of the device is the same. The opening of the valve depends on the ratio with which the springs are compressed. The elasticity of one of them (in a compartment with a low pressure) is regulated by means of a screw. It is twisted to loosen the spring and close the valve.

The low pressure chamber is connected to the gas burner by means of gas hoses and a valve.

If the oxygen consumption is greater than its flow, the pressure of the working chamber will decrease. The pressure spring, while acting on the diaphragm, deforms it. This will cause the valve to open slightly, which will cause an increase in the flow of oxygen into the working chamber. Reducing the flow causes an increase in pressure. The compression of the spring in this case deforms the diaphragm in the opposite direction. As a result, the valve closes the port and reduces the flow of gas. This ensures the maintenance of optimum pressure in the automatic mode.

The oxygen reducer is equipped with two pressure gauges. Their serviceability must be checked before starting work when connecting the cylinder and the device. The arrows of the pressure gauges should be located on the zero mark and must not be displaced when the gear unit is rotated.

It is forbidden to perform self-tightening of the threaded connections of the device, due to the fact that the work is carried out under high pressure.
