To attract the attention of peers, some teenagers are ready for much, including failure to comply with generally accepted behavioral norms.

Spheres of development

The relationship between a high school student and his comrades is based on an unspoken comradely code based on respect for the dignity of others, honesty, equality, loyalty, decency and willingness to come to the rescue. Egoism, greed, conceit and violation of obligations at this age are categorically condemned. Teenagers who demonstrated such qualities boycotted and refused to take to the company.

High school students who join in groups need a leader, and when he appears, they try to attract his attention to him and value friendship with such a person. Also a teenager is interested in such friends for whom he could become if not a leader, then at least a full partner.

The consistent physical and psychological changes characteristic of the age, which the classics called adolescence (the word "boy" having several meanings: "slave", "servant", "not entitled to say", defines the social status of the adolescent), begin at 10-11 Years, and end at 15-19.

A distinctive feature

The main distinguishing feature of adolescence is sudden changes in development and physiological restructuring, against which the age crisis is passing . Change in height and weight is accompanied by a change in the proportions of the body. First, the head grows to the desired size, then - the hands and feet, and after them - the limbs. The body of a teenager is formed in the last turn, and the growth of the skeleton is much faster than the development of the musculature. Taking into account the aforementioned, in the teenage age the leading one is the activity that promotes acceptance of oneself "as it is", for example, sports and meditation.

In this period of time, some children, feeling unwell, baggy, slow and tormented by blood pressure changes, become prone to mood swings, quickly become tired. Emotional instability is exacerbated by sexual arousal accompanying the process of puberty.

The feeling of solidarity, psychological well-being and self-esteem that is so necessary for a teenager in this segment of life, he "nurtures" through emotional contact with peers.

In adolescence, the leading activity is the "filtering" of friendly contacts

A fundamental condition for friendliness is the community of interests. If a teenager values a friend's friendship, he may first become interested, and then get carried away by the business that a peer is interested in. Consequently, in adolescence, the leading activity is the acquisition of the ability to discuss and analyze the course of events occurring in everyday life, in school and in society.

By the end of this age, all schoolchildren, without exception, badly need a sensitive and understanding close friend who knows how to keep secrets. The most important individual acquisition of this period is the psychology of the development of moral, generally accepted measures.

Training, although not ceasing to be a priority, recedes into the background, and school marks no longer represent any value in the eyes of a teenager. The primary theme is his authority in the eyes of classmates. All the most interesting things happen and are discussed no longer at lessons, but at changes, and now adolescents are interested in socially useful and other (sport, art) activities that allow them to take a certain place in the society.
