Everyone who studies at the last year of an educational institution already has certain knowledge in various subjects, including computer science and, perhaps, can easily create a document or type a text. But only a few of the future graduates know how to make footnotes in the Word and notes or make bibliographic references. Let's figure it out.

How to make footnotes in the Word ?

Footnotes are divided into the usual ones that need to be done on the current page, and the end ones that are put at the end of the document. In order to make a regular footnote, you need to enter the menu, find the word "Links", click on it, and in the window that opens, select the word "Footnotes". The endnotes are put in the same way, only in addition you have to click on "Insert the end note".

The rules of registration of references are established in 2008. It is valid up to the present. In accordance with the State Standard, links are divided into subscript, text and in-text.

Internally, the links are made in parentheses. They contain additional information not included in the body of the document.

The text links are formatted in square brackets. They are numbered and linked by a system of references with the main text.

EXAMPLE: [6, p. 13], where 6 is the serial number of the document that is included in the text links, and 13 is the page to which we refer in the document under the number 6.

Subscript links are taken down the page and numbered according to their number, not the page number.

How do I make notes in a word?

In order to make a note in the Word, you need to enter the menu, find the word "View", click on it with the mouse, in the drop-down menu find the word "Page layout" and also click on it. Place the cursor on the place where you want to insert a note by selecting the word "Insert" from the menu, and then "Note". It remains to enter the text of the note itself and click the mouse anywhere in the field.

If you want the notes not to be visible on the print, select the word "Print" in the "Print" window, click on it with the mouse, and then on the word "Document".

If you want to print the text along with notes, select "Show notes".
