This will help get rid of the specific taste.

A syrup is prepared from water and sugar. Fruits are put in a saucepan and poured over with hot syrup. It is recommended to leave them for 10 hours for impregnation. Then the saucepan is put on a slow fire, and the jam is brought to a boil. Cook it for 5 minutes.

After this, the berries are insisted for another 8 hours. Already for the third time the jam from the physalis is cooked to the ready on a slow fire. All the time you need to gently stir it, so as not to crush the berries, and remove the foam. The jam is poured into sterile jars hot. Turned containers turn upside down and keep it until it cools down.

If you want to get candied fruit, then the prepared jam is boiled for another 10 minutes, and then filter through a colander to get rid of excess liquid. Berries themselves spread on a baking sheet and dried in the sun or in the oven. Prepared candied fruits can be sprinkled with powdered sugar and put in jars.

Decorative physalis is not used for food, but it is used in the interior. In winter, it will be a pleasant memory of the hot summer days. Its fruits can be used as decorations.
