It is not surprising that those who could break away abroad were swept off the shelves and brought home everything they could. Toys, shoes, clothes, products, appliances, sweets from Germany - nothing was left without attention. And although those times have passed, some can not get rid of this habit. However, it has its pluses. What are the products from Germany worth bringing back home? And what can you buy at home?

What to buy in Germany?

Traditionally, this country is considered the edge of delicious beer, fat wieners, quality cars. And for the Germans this glory was fixed for good reason. It is here that many major modern companies began their history, and today they still do not give up their positions.

And although the commodity deficit in Russia has long passed, and today in any major city you can buy almost everything the same as in the rest of the world, there are still goods that differ in composition or quality when delivered to different countries. Traditionally it is considered that in Europe the choice is more diverse, below the price, raw materials are better. Is it really? Definitely not here to answer.

The fact is that the products of some companies are really ranked by quality. In addition, some firms operating in Europe are reluctant to bring their goods to Russia. Depending on the tastes, the assortment may differ somewhat. Lower prices may be due to the lack of the need to carry the goods somewhere and to carry out customs clearance. In addition, tourists can exercise their right to return VAT when leaving the country. So if the purchase seems more profitable, then it is definitely worth it. And here's what to pay attention to?

From Germany, as already mentioned, do not take everything in succession, because it is likely that almost all of this can be found in the homeland for about the same money. But you can find a real exclusive.

For example, Berlin is a real paradise for vegetarians and adherents of natural food. Here you can find products that are not even heard of in other countries. Oils, cereals, juices, sauces and even salt - even the most discriminating in food people will find here something suitable for themselves. However, it is worth preparing for the fact that the price tag for bioproducts is higher than for conventional ones.

If this is not the last days in Germany, it is also worthwhile to try fresh farmer vegetables and fruits. They are unlikely to be safely brought home in a suitcase, but you can also eat on the spot. Farmers sell them a little more expensive than supermarkets, but they have a higher quality. And what other products and goods from Germany should be considered?

Sausages and sausages

Perishable meat products, perhaps, are not the best option for transportation in a suitcase. Practically in any large supermarket you can find a lot of products for baking, such as liquid flavors with the smell of rum or, for example, vanilla, a variety of sprinkles, chocolate for melting, flour mixtures and the like.

Great and a choice for those who prefer not to cook, but already buy sweets. From Germany it is worthwhile to take a good and unusual marmalade. For example, there is one that is made from Riesling - white grapes. The whole world is famous for Nuremberg cakes, which are perfect not only as a treat, but also as a souvenir, because they are often packed in beautiful boxes.

We should not forget about brezels. They should not be taken home: eat another hot, but incredibly soft or, conversely, a crispy pretzel right next to the bench - an unforgettable experience. They are also many kinds: there are sweet and salty, large, small - in short, for every taste.

Germany - this is not the center of attraction of lovers of sweets from cocoa beans, it is worth acknowledging. She has serious rivals - Belgium and Switzerland, but there are also trump cards. Rittersport is the first brand that comes to mind. But it does not limit the chocolate from Germany. The oldest producer of sweets in Germany, the company Stollwerk even manages the museum. It is located in the center of Cologne on the banks of the Rhine and shows in detail all the stages of making chocolate.

In addition to their own brands, the Germans are very fond of the products of the Swiss company Lindt. Well, those who like something of this kind can always make a choice among different kinds of Milka chocolate : with pieces of Oreo, marmalade, cherry jam, popcorn, airy rice, pieces of biscuits and even crackers. In Russia, too, this brand is present, but the choice is much smaller.

By the way, until recently, Oreo cookies were not sold on the territory of the Russian Federation. But in a variety of variations it could and still can be bought in Germany.

Not so often from Germany they bring water. First, it is unlikely to be very different from what is available in stores at home. And secondly, heavy bottles may well lead to excess baggage at the airport. But for fans of tea and coffee, a wider choice will be very liking. German women, in the opinion of the average Russian girl, practically do not use makeup. Instead, they prefer to care for the skin, so that it looks attractive without any tweaks. At the same time, Germans do not like to spend a lot on make-up, nevertheless preferring the most natural composition. And, as demand creates supply, tourists can also take advantage of this and replenish their stocks with relatively inexpensive but high-quality cosmetics.

The most famous German brands are Weleda and Dr. Hauschka, for infants there is also the famous Bübchen products. For those who are obsessed with taking care of their feet, there is a large Gewohl stand in any pharmacy. With the highest quality, you can buy them 1,5-2 times cheaper than in Russia.

And ordinary shops like Douglas please the hunters for the beauty novelties, which are not yet on sale in their homeland. In general, prices for care cosmetics (and decorative) are about the same as in Russia, although taking into account tax refunds, purchase is beneficial.

Clothes and footwear

Now in the popular goods from Germany, clothes are usually not included, because the same brands of both the democratic and luxury segments are represented practically in any large city. But in fact, abroad can be purchased much more profitable, especially if you do this in the season of discounts, go to outlets, and when you leave, do not forget to apply for a refund of taxes.

But as for children's shoes and clothes, its quality is beyond praise regardless of the brand. In every major store there is necessarily a large department, and in multi-level stores there is even a floor where children's goods are sold. Yes, and adolescents do not ignore.

What else?

In Europe in general and in Germany in particular, the phenomenon is widely spread, which so far is not too popular in Russia - the so-called flea markets. And, contrary to stereotypes, they are sold not only all rubbish, but also valuable things. For a young girl as a gift, you can buy an antique porcelain doll, a music lover will enjoy rare records, a fashionista - vintage jewelry.
