Finishing of walls with gypsum plasterboard (dry plaster)

Modern construction of buildings for different purposes differs from the process of erecting buildings of past years with new technological solutions. Nowadays there is an extensive range of all sorts of finishing materials that are easily and quickly installed. The finish of the walls with gypsum plasterboard (dry plaster) confidently replaced the laborious plastering of surfaces with a mixture of clay and sand. The new technique of finishing works has a number of advantages over the traditional method of wall coating:

1. Wall cladding with gypsum plasterboard promotes the quality alignment of old walls with flaws;

2. GK sheets provide the creation of a flat ideal surface for subsequent finishing;

3. Gypsum plasterboard walls - good protection against noise;

4. Facing with dry plaster ensures the preservation of heat in the room;

   In addition, the decoration of walls with plasterboard is very convenient in the sense that when installing the material, a cavity is formed between the old wall and the new one. The space is convenient for various communications: computer and telephone networks, security systems, electrical wiring. The walls are decorated with plasterboard in two ways:

   • Fastening of sheets ГК on the existing basis by means of gypsum glue;

   • Installation of plasterboard on the frame of wooden beams, rails, metal profiles.

     Wall cladding with gypsum boards requires preliminary preparation, including:

     • Fit the sheets of material to the desired size,

     • Installation of necessary communications before the beginning of works on the decoration of walls,

     • Manufacture of slots in sheets of HK under sockets, switches, junction boxes so that the details protrude above the base by 20 mm.

     • Preparation of special glue mortar according to the attached instructions.

       If the installation is planned to be done with gypsum boards, they should be fixed in steps of 60 cm. The rails should be located vertically. The sheets are attached to the frame by filler material for joints.

       In the case of a large uneven surface of the walls, it is necessary to use wooden bars as a fastening frame. Reiki should be fixed to the wall, using dowels and screws. Preliminary it is recommended to align the bars along a vertical line. It is advisable to lay a layer of insulation between the slats (cotton wool of fiberglass or mineral material) in order to improve the safety of heat and protection from noise.

       The walls can be decorated with plasterboard in the form of a standard partition. In this case, the structure is sewn with sheets of HA on one side. The method is applicable for the correction of severely damaged walls, and also for the purpose of ensuring the free laying of necessary communications in the formed space. Mounting of the frame is made of profiles and racks. As racks it is possible to use a wooden bar. The installation technology includes the laying of soundproof tape under the profiles. Fastening of sheets of HA is recommended for self-cutting with metal. The cavity must be filled with a layer of mineral or glass wool. It will help to keep the heat and protect you from unnecessary noise.

       There is another way of installing gypsum plasterboard walls. It consists in the use of mounting brackets. This method ensures the greatest rigidity of the structure. The role of the pillars and guides in this embodiment is made by metal profiles. It is required to place the gasket from the soundproof tape under the brackets for fixing the structure. Fixing the profiles in the brackets is done using self-tapping screws. Wooden racks in brackets are fastened with wood screws. To improve sound and thermal insulation, as in other versions, it is required to fill the space with layers of mineral or glass wool.

       Decorating walls with gypsum plasterboard is a modern method of plastering surfaces. It does not take a lot of time. The walls are perfectly even. In this case, the working area is not contaminated, as in the traditional processing method.
