Extreme - Adrenalin Dependence

Extreme for me is not an empty word, but an extremely close and understandable term. For 10 years now I have been enjoying myself, with a straight, bike trial, a little snowboarding. During this time my body is so used to adrenaline that I became addicted to it! Every spring I look with nervous impatience at the drying up asphalt, I start to prepare the body for the new season.

In this article we will talk about the veloextreme. At the age of 16 I discovered a bicycle as a means of self-expression. Thanks to the company of enthusiasts in my city, I learned that on a two-wheeled car you can not only ride, but also get up a variety of tricks!

I started with the classics and the basics - banihopes, willie. At first, getting confused in terms, we called all extreme directions a trial, and it so happened that as a result the overwhelming majority of the skaters were engaged in a bicycle trial. Tricks over the years became more complicated, improved, bicycles changed to more comfortable and more comfortable ones. Once I managed to assemble the unit on the ZOO frame! Riding a real professional bike made me rave! Progress in technology was on the face. Together with the details, the body was perfected, adapting itself to specific loads. In one day I already twisted the hellicopter, jumped high drops, learned touchch techniques. But I always lacked speed in cycling. Balance, control, overcoming of heights is all fine, but I was always embarrassed that on round wheels I jump and do not roll! This is unnatural!

So gradually my style began to develop. I smoothly left the bases of the trial, and more and more moved away to straight and dert. The broadband Internet gave me a bunch of videos on which I watched what my idols do, borrowed the ideas of technology, and most importantly inspiration. How can an ordinary person learn that it is possible to ride a bicycle on walls or from a place to take off on meter obstacles? My idols were and remain: Danny MacAskill, Damon Watson, mr. Muzzle.

Throughout the whole way - I constantly fell, bicycles broke down, parts changed, wounds healed, sprains, bruises. And I can say for sure - of all the sports I know - the bike is really the safest and innocuous. Almost at the very beginning, I got protection on the shin - this is the main defense without which I can not imagine skating and the more learning new tricks! How many strokes of the pedals have gone through my Dienese shields! How many times they saved my bones! I still skate in them!

But all the same, the name does not mean that. For 10 years I've been rolling, falling, getting up, driving on! But one day I fell down, got up, but went to the emergency room. It was the most ordinary banihop through the barrier. But excessive self-confidence ruined me. I did not accelerate as I should, I did not pull it out as it was worth, and now, having hooked on the rear wheel, I literally stuck into the asphalt. The whole force of the blow fell on the shoulder. Standing up, I found that the left hand hangs below the right centimeters by five, and something sticks out from under the skin around the collarbone. Doctors immediately diagnosed with ease the "rupture of the acromial joint". I immediately asked when I could return to the sport - I was told in a year. A series of unsuccessful operations and a shoulder are spoiled.

I still ride, but I always feel pain and discomfort. Being in the hospital in a rather helpless condition, I realized what the price of that adrenaline that I got so used to getting from riding. Already more than a year has passed since the fall, but the trauma constantly reminds of itself. But I understand that I easily got rid of it, and I am glad that I have it. Many have ended the trauma of the spine, knees, so I believe I was lucky. I did not skate carefully, only until I pulled the high banihopes ... for now.
