Efficient way of bottom fishing. How to make donka and what are its features?

Probably the most ancient hook gear for fishing is donka. Despite its thousand-year history, it remains on the list of the most effective means of fishing. It has many modifications, but the principle of operation in different donkeys is not much different. Differences are observed, as a rule, in the applied methods of cutting and signaling about the bite. Each fisherman has his own views on how to make Donka the most "catchy".

The use of Donkey is very effective when catching almost all non- predatory and some species of predatory fish of our freshwater reservoirs. But most often this method of catching is used to catch bream, roach and carp. Well proven bottom tackle in various conditions of catching on stream and in standing water in the period of open reservoirs.

We will not consider options for how to make a donk of a specific species, and we will dwell on its general arrangement. She can have a rod with a reel or not have it at all. The immediate equipment consists of a sinker or a feeder, which can be sliding and at the same time serve as an undercutter.

The main line, to which the leashes and the sinker (feeder) are attached, is wound on a reel or reel. Its main function is, as already mentioned, the fastening of all the components of the rigging, as well as the transmission of the signal about the bite, the jamming of the jerks of the fish being pulled out, etc. Before making a donka for fishing, it is necessary to take into account the estimated sizes of the fish. If this is a tackle with a fishing rod and a reel, then the thickness of the line varies between 0.12-0.3 mm - depending on the caution of the fish's behavior and its size.

For compact designs of donkeys with a reel, thicker main lines are used - 0.4-0.5 mm, sometimes thicker. As a fishing line for leashes, a thin line is used, rather than the main line. The size of a sinker for a conventional donkey with a reel is up to 100 grams, but a tackle with a coil requires a smaller weight, which does not exceed, as a rule, a fifty-gram mark.

The hook for the bottom tackle is also selected depending on the size of the object of catching: for bream and roach it is №4-5 according to the domestic numbering. Before assembling all the rigging elements, you need to decide on how to make a donk: with a sliding sinker or fixed, as well as the presence or absence of the rod and coil.

Next is the task: how to collect donka? On the main line is attached a sinker and hooks are attached to it. Most often this happens in the manner of "looping into a loop". The further exploitation of the Donkey is quite simple and consists only in the correct attachment of bait and bait (with the use of a feeder), subsequent casting and waiting for bite. A signal about this is the tension of the line, to which you can attach a piece of light material (stick, small clump of earth) for better visibility.

Thus, after the donkey is made and the first experience of its use is obtained, one can judge the practicality, "catchiness" and advantages of this tackle. Also, as mentioned above, the variety of donkey forms allows each fisherman to choose for himself the most convenient and effective of them, given certain conditions of catching.
