Edward Lidskalnin and his mysterious castle

On our planet there are many mysterious places, beckoning people with its mystery. One of them is in the American city of Ayger City (Florida).

This Coral Castle, which was built by Edward Liedskalnin - Latvian emigrant who came to the US in the early 20th century. The amazing structure, built of huge blocks, since 1983 is in the national register of historical places in the US and is rightfully considered a modern miracle.

Biography

Who is Edward Lidskalnin? The biography of this Latvian at first was completely unremarkable. Edward was born on 12.01.1887 in the Stameriene Volost, located in the Valka district of the Livland province. Today it is Latvia, and in those years this area was part of the Russian Empire. Edward Lidskalnin's childhood is known only for the fact that he was not rich, and therefore studied at school only up to the fourth grade. After this, Edward mastered stone-cutting and stone-making. And it was very surprising, because the lean Latvian had a height of just over 150 cm and weighed only 43 kg.

In his 26 years Edward Liedskalnin wooed to the 16-year-old village beauty Agnes Skuffs. What attracted the girl in this ugly shorty shorty? Most likely, his piercing eyes, which literally radiated love. Young Agnes initially agreed to the betrothal, and then ripped her off just two days before the wedding, deciding that her fiancé was too old and poor for her. The wedding was upset, and Edward's heart was broken.

Emigration to America

After the break-up of the engagement, Edward Liedskalnin felt humiliated before his fellow villagers. And, suffering from unrequited love, he emigrated far from his native home to America. Not having a penny in his pocket (all savings were spent on a ticket), the poor health of the man had a hard time. For ten years he wandered about California, Texas and Canada, getting a job as a driver of cattle, a logger, an office clerk. This period was not easy, in addition, Edward still caught tuberculosis. However, working, the persistent Latvian managed to save a little money, which was enough to purchase a piece of land, a modest life and the realization of his dream, which he did not tell anyone.

In 1920, Edward Lidskalnin moved to Florida, whose warm climate was most suitable for his health. In the same place, he bought a small piece of land and began to realize his old dream.

Unusual construction

Wandering the world, Edward Lidskalnin began to get involved in the study of sciences. Especially he was attracted by astronomy and the history of Ancient Egypt. How did Edvard Lidskalnin apply his knowledge in life? In Florida, he built a massive structure, which was originally called the Stone Gate Park. This creation was dedicated to a girl who rejected his love.

Edward worked alone, and to hide from prying eyes, he did it at night. As a result, he extracted and then processed more than 1100 tons of calcareous lumps. Of these, Edward Lidskalnin built the Coral Castle (this was later called the given structure). The author claimed that he was able to uncover the riddle of erecting the Egyptian pyramids. The same method he used in the construction of his castle.

Description of the Stone Gate Park

By 1936 Coral Castle was completely completed. According to the author's intentions, it was an imaginary love home for the girl Agnesa, in which she never visited.

In the Stone Gate Park, Edward set up giant coral chairs, chairs, tables, beds and a bath. In addition, a fountain, a grotto and a sundial are built on the territory of this castle. Lidskalnin, who loved to watch the stars strewn with stars, created and installed eighteen-ton sculptures of Mars, Saturn and the Moon. There is in his Park and a 20-ton "telescope" made of stone, through which you can see the North Star. The only living accommodation in the monastery is a two-story tower.

Not far from it stands the throne room with an obelisk, the mass of which is 30 tons. All this splendor, created from coral limestone, is surrounded by a massive wall. The height of the fence is 2.5 meters. There are several gates in the wall. The most famous of them represent an opening in which there is an ideally fitted stone block. This massive "door" opens with one small click of a finger, which causes astonishment among modern builders.

The Secret of the Coral Castle erection

Edward Lidskalnin was engaged in the construction of his offspring for twenty years. He did it in the strictest secrecy, working only at night. This allowed him to avoid the curious looks of his neighbors. What is mysterious in what Edward Lidskalnin did? The castle, which erected this small growth and not a health-shining Latvian, consists of huge wall blocks. These multi-ton blocks surrounding the courtyard of the Park, Edward laid without the use of cement. At the same time, he so perfectly adjusted the blocks to each other, that his creation resembles the Egyptian pyramids. A multitone front door, a gigantic table of stone and the same chairs and bedroom? But this is not surprising, but how and what they are made of. Researchers do not have an answer to this question so far.

A strange builder built his structure in some way unknown to modern engineers. He did not even have the most basic technique, but at the same time he managed to deliver massive coral blocks from the coast, after scraping blocks out of them.

The tools that Lidskalnin used were made by him from the automobile parts thrown to the dump. So, to split the lump, Edward used a homemade chisel. He pierced the hole in the limestone, and then inserted into it old, pre-heated shock absorbers from the car. Then the builder poured cold water on the metal. Iron split the stone, increasing in its volume. And how did he manage to lift five-ton blocks at a height of many meters? Explanations for this could not be found. After the death of Edward in his workshop, they found no, even the most primitive lifting mechanisms.

Observations of neighbors

The question of how to build an unusual structure, did not give rest to the inhabitants of nearby houses. The most curious of them tried to invite to visit their unusual neighbor. However, Lidskalnin broke off their attempts with his expressive unblinking gaze, from which many felt uneasy.

Once, the neighbor's boys tried to solve the puzzle of construction, having stolen a night vision device from his father. The guys climbed onto the roof of their house and watched Edward's work. There was no limit to their astonishment. Later, the boys said that Edward Lidskalnin himself was on the site, and the transfer of huge stone blocks occurred without his participation. Multitone pieces of coral limestone literally floated through the air like balloons.

There is evidence of another neighbor who allegedly saw Lidskalnin singing to the stones. According to her, the guy put his hands on them, and then made a lingering sound.

Unexpected move

In the late thirties, a lawyer from Louisiana bought a land near the site of Edward. An enterprising neighbor decided to build a multi-storey house on his territory. This was not part of Lidskalnin's plans, and he decided to move his Stone Gate Park to another place. On his savings, Edward bought a new site in Florida and hired a powerful truck. The driver received the payment in advance and should not be present at the time of loading. The car was served at nine in the morning. Arriving at noon, the driver saw already submerged in the truck coral blocks and calmly standing next to the owner. Out of curiosity, he tried to interview his neighbors, did anyone help Edward in his hard work, but no one could answer him so.

Lidskalnin opens the veil of secrecy

The Coral Castle caused many questions. However, at first the Latvian preferred to remain silent. Only later, when the structure was built again, Edward slightly opened the veil of his secrets. Especially curious, he explained that he recognized the secret of the Egyptian pyramids.

At the end of his life the unsociable Latvian, who never got a family and had no friends, began to let tourists into his castle, taking a quarter of a dollar for entry. On this money, he lived in recent years.

Fatal disease

Despite Edward's tormenting of tuberculosis, in the last days of his life he did not suffer from it at all. 09.11.1951 Lidskalnina registered at the Jackson Hospital, located in Miami. The Latvian emigrant suffered a blow. When he had an attack, it is unknown. According to one version, Ed suffered a stroke and then went to the hospital, on the other - the heart failed directly in the medical institution.

After hospitalization, the mysterious builder returned to his Coral Castle and lay down in the stone bed he had built. Three days later, at the age of 64, Edward Lidskalnin died. The main cause of death, which was noted in the death certificate, was uremia - renal failure as a result of infection and abscess.

Inheritance

After the death of Lidskalnin in his workroom, which was the only closed building of the castle, they found 3,500 dollars. By American standards it was a mere penny. What other legacy did Edward Liedskalnin leave besides Coral Castle? The work of the Latvian emigrant was also of interest in certain circles. Even during his lifetime, Ed issued five brochures, which were advertised in local newspapers. Their list is as follows:

  • "Magnetic stream" (19 pages).
  • "A book in every house. Contains three subjects: Sweet Sixteen Edes, Internal and Political views. "
  • "Magnetic Flow" (1945, 4 pages).
  • "Magnetic base".

Books Edward Lidskalnina also found in his workroom. In them he expressed his thoughts on the connection of all living organisms on earth, expounded his own views on the state system, and also narrated about the discoveries he made in the field of terrestrial magnetism and control of "cosmic energy."

Help aliens?

The fact that managed to dominate the Lydskalnin Edward magnetic flux, very much doubted the Americans. And even when the country became aware of brochures written by a mysterious builder, the main version of the construction of the Coral Castle was ufological.

There were rumors that the mysterious structure served as a refuge for alien spies. And it was for them intended twenty-five gigantic armchairs. These aliens helped build the castle. And the discovery that Edward Liedskalnin did, and the movement of huge stone blocks with his help - these are all stories to divert the eyes. The assumption of ufologists was also confirmed by unusual astronomical devices in the castle. They include a huge telescope, towering at the top of the tower-column, aimed directly at the North Star.

Unusual for the researchers were the sundial of the Coral Castle. They are so perfectly calibrated for the summer and winter solstice that they still show time with the precision of electronic devices. How and why did all these things create a man who has only a primary education?

Antigravity

In addition to the ufological there is another version of the disclosure of the secret of an unusual structure. So, in his book "The Secret of the Coral Castle" Ray Stoner writes that Edward Liedskalnin, most likely, discovered antigravity. According to the researcher, our planet is covered by an invisible energy grid. It consists of lines of force. In the places where they intersect, the internal energy of the Earth breaks to the surface and has an unusual concentration. In these areas, and you can create things that modern science can not explain.

So, according to Stoner's conviction, the concentrated energy of the Earth will allow moving objects in time and space. According to the author of the book "The Secret of the Coral Castle," Edward Lidskalnin moved his structure not because of the threat of building a high-rise building on a nearby plot. The Latvian simply found an error in his calculations and moved to South Florida, where there is a powerful dynamic pole. At this point, it was much easier to apply its antigravity discovery to the mysterious builder.

The modern life of Coral Castle

Disputes about the mysterious Latvian continue to this day. However, they are supported only by enthusiasts. Official science, which failed to unravel the mystery of an unusual structure, prefers to simply remain silent.

Today, "Ed Stone Gate" brings a good income to merchants, who turned the dream of a Latvian love cradle into a kind of "Disneyland". Annually hundreds of thousands of tourists are introduced to the Coral castle, bringing a decent income to the staff, which created a huge accompanying industry around the site.
