Between Novorossiysk and Anapa on the Black Sea coast is located a small urban village of Utrish, which houses a dolphinarium.

A little bit about this marvelous place

In 1984, a scientific marine station was opened in Utrish to study marine mammals. It was created on the initiative of the Institute for Problems with Ecology and Evolution named after AN Severtsov of the Russian Academy and has a certain number of branches in the cities of the Russian Federation and a cabinet in Moscow. The Dolphinarium on Krestovsky Island was opened on August 27, 1998.

Until 2000 it was located in the basin of the Maritime Institute. Now he is in the pool "Spartak". The Dolphinarium on Krestovsky is the only one in the town. Therefore, he quickly captured the love not only of the citizens of St. Petersburg, but also of the guests of the city.

Artists and their tricks

Dolphins are remarkable animals, they enjoy tremendous attention, reverence and love of the majority of spectators. They have a well-developed mind and extraordinary abilities, which are shown on performances. Dolphins do various tricks: they dive and then jump out of the water, spin in the air, sing and even dance. Seals, beluga whales, bottlenose dolphins of the Black Sea, as well as sea lions participate in the performances.

In the program of representation in various combinations take part:
- white beluga whales;
- northern lions;
- Pacific walruses;
- Dolphins of the Black Sea.

The Dolphinarium on Krestovsky invites everyone to their performances. Here you can see how artists sing, dance, depict, make the highest jumps and the most interesting stunts. The program lasts about an hour. A free shooting of the performance from its seat is allowed.

Bathing

Apart from different shows, the program of which is alternately updated and changed, the dolphinarium on Krestovsky invites to swim with dolphins.
Such an occupation enthralls even the most severe adult. Swimming takes place in small groups of people only under the control of a trainer and coach. Friendly and cheerful dolphins hire you on their own and perform a couple of tricks in the pool in your presence.

The Dolphinarium also provides courses of dolphin therapy for toddlers and adults suffering from depression and psychological disorders. Scientists have proved that communication with these marvelous animals calms the person and raises his mood.

Here you can visit the gift shop. On sale are: keyrings, magnets, photo artists, toys and icons, figures of dolphins in different designs, balloons, a disc with an already recorded program of performances. Still it is possible to get a picture, which before your very eyes dolphins drew.

You can have a wonderful time in a comfortable cafe. At your choice are served desserts, drinks and hot dishes. The establishment has air conditioning, as well as free Wi-Fi. There is a possibility to order group dinners.

In the dolphinarium at the entrance is a buffet. For kids and their parents, they sell popcorn, ice cream, cocktails and sweet cotton wool.

Photos for memory

After the presentation, you can take a picture with the dolphins on the platforms. Photography Dolphinarium (photo is printed and given to you in the hands for an hour after the end of the presentation). Prices range from 300 to 700 rubles, depending on the type and size of the picture. Claims on the quality of the photo are taken exclusively for an hour. The price for shooting your photo equipment is 300 rubles for a photo.

To feed the dolphinarium artists is strictly prohibited! Wardrobe is absent in the institution - in the hall you are located in the outer clothing.

Depending on the sector, adult tickets cost 300-800 rubles, and children's tickets cost 100-500 rubles. For holidays and vacations (also applies on Saturday and Sunday) prices are higher: 400-1000 rubles - an adult ticket, from 200 to 700 rubles - for children.
