Day of food industry worker - what kind of holiday is this?

Day of the food industry worker is a holiday of all professional bakers, cooks and specialists of related specialties. It is celebrated not only in the Russian Federation, but also in Ukraine. It is customary to celebrate on the penultimate Sunday in October, doing it every year.

History

Possessing almost half a century of history, this remarkable day dates back to the Soviet Union. The State Duma in 1966 issued a decree approving the Day of a worker in the food industry. According to this decree, it was prescribed to celebrate this new professional holiday on the penultimate Sunday in October, but the most surprising thing is that this is being done to this day.

Further, since Russia was the absolute successor to the USSR, it was not necessary to take absolutely no additional decisions, documents and legal acts to preserve it.

Unfortunately, a completely different situation was in Ukraine. After the Soviet Union collapsed, the Day of the food industry worker, like many other holidays, had to be officially accepted and reaffirmed. Yes, many holidays were preserved, but then their dates were postponed. This triumph is one of the rare exceptions, because it is celebrated to this day on the third Sunday of the second autumn month. In 1995, Leonid Kuchma - at the time the incumbent president of Ukraine - signed a decree on the approval of the holiday Day of a food industry worker, similar to what was done in the USSR.

Celebration of the celebration

The authorities of the Russian Federation have long been a wonderful tradition to congratulate workers in the food industry on their professional holiday and wish them luck in their hard and necessary work.

Many are interested in how they celebrate this day? As a rule, they do it, as you might guess, with all sorts of goodies. However, there is one peculiarity. They are usually cooked not by the culprits themselves, but by their friends, relatives and close people for themselves.

The day of food industry workers in 2013 was fairly calm, there were no usual mass celebrations with pancakes, pies, kissels and soup, which are usually arranged in different cities. But, probably, it was due to bad weather.

To congratulate your loved ones with this day, do not buy expensive gifts or postcards, it is better to make a delicious surprise with your own hands. It can be pie, cake or even meat, originally served and beautifully decorated, because, as the real cooks say, the taste is only a third of good food, the remaining two-thirds is an appetizing smell and the way you present it.

Conclusion

Day of the food industry in 2013 Suzdal, for example, noted a huge barrel of mead in the square, which was poured free to all comers.

The main thing is, connect your imagination and make bold decisions. And then your gift will have a chance to outshine all the others. Be attentive to your loved ones and please them with your favorite treat.
