Change in pregnancy level during pregnancy

At pregnancy in a female organism there is a full reorganization. He undergoes significant changes, thanks to which the development of the child proceeds correctly. A woman should know what changes are taking place, because this can prevent the occurrence of complications in the formation and development of the fetus.

In the metabolic processes occurring in the body of the future mother, hormones produced by the glands of internal secretion play an important role. Great importance in the formation of the size of the body of the baby and the growth of the child's organism is played by the pituitary gland located in the brain of the future mother. This gland secretes the thyroid hormone during pregnancy of a woman. The thyroid- stimulating hormone controls the functioning of the thyroid gland, which plays one of the important roles in the proper life-support of the future baby. All the hormonal changes in the female body are due to the influence on it of the hormones of the placenta and fetus. The change in the thyroid level during pregnancy is a sign of thyroid dysfunction.

During pregnancy increases in size pituitary. It works in a strengthened mode, therefore, the production of thyroid-stimulating hormone increases. However, twenty percent of women have a decrease in the level of TTG during pregnancy, especially at its twelfth week. This reduction is often accompanied by vomiting. There may also be an increase in the thyroid gland, so it is quite often in this period responsible for a woman that some of her diseases are revealed.

We can say that the analysis of thyroid during pregnancy is of great importance. The first half of pregnancy is characterized by a normal or slightly lowered level of thyroid-stimulating hormone. A high level of it may indicate that a woman needs a certain therapy to normalize the production of hormones. Thyroid dysfunction affects the course of a woman's pregnancy. So, increasing the level of hormones can lead to both miscarriage and the pathology of the development of the brain in a future child, as a result of which he may develop cretinism. Hypothyroidism during pregnancy is extremely rare (only two percent of women have this disease) and is accompanied by a decrease in the level of thyroglobulin in the blood. The causes of this pathology are:

- disruption of the development and functioning of the thyroid gland;

- Postpartum thyroiditis;

- iodine therapy;

- Thyroid gland tumor.

It should be noted that The change in the thyrotropic hormone level during pregnancy may not be detected for a long time, since the symptoms of the disease are regarded as the usual course of pregnancy, which has weakness, joint pain, depression, weight gain, nausea and constipation.

Hypothyroidism for a pregnant woman is dangerous, because it affects the development of the fetus, primarily, on its nervous system. Deficiency of TTG during pregnancy can lead to the development of a pathology of the baby's brain, which is irreversible. However, if the disease is revealed in the second half of pregnancy, the hypothyroidism in the child is easily healed, and there will be no violation of his mental development.

It is important to remember that among other tests that are handed over without fail in pregnancy, there is an analysis of the level of thyroid-stimulating hormone in the blood. Paying attention to the level of TTG during pregnancy, the doctor can check whether there are abnormalities in the functions of the pituitary or thyroid gland, and how this can threaten the mother and the fetus. Substitution therapy here is indispensable, since it is about the life and health of not only the mother, but also the future child.
