Antiseptic drug "Geksikon" reviews have, most often, positive, indicating its high efficacy in topical application. The active substance that contains the drug, chlorhexidine bigluconate, is active against gram-negative and gram-positive microorganisms, in particular, causing diseases such as trichomoniasis, candidiasis, syphilis, chlamydia, ureaplasmosis. Often about the drug "Geksikon" reviews are positive when used in the form of candles or vaginal tablets for the sanation of the birth canal. The drug, released in the form of a gel, has a bactericidal effect when applied to the skin or mucous membranes.

It is noted that the drug has a low absorption in the digestive tract, most of it is excreted with feces (almost 90%) and a small part with urine (1%). Gel and solution, in addition to gynecology and urology, can be used in dentistry (for the treatment of stomatitis, periodontitis, alveolitis, etc.) and dermatology (indications are skin infections, including pyoderma, panaricium, impetigo, intertrigo).

The active substances of the drug are not compatible with detergents that contain an anionic group (for example, saponins, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose).

High effectiveness of the drug is noted when it is used as a prophylaxis, since after the introduction of "Hexicon" for this purpose, the reviews do not describe the cases of infection. However, it is worth considering that it should not take more than 2 hours after the act occurred.
