Brief review of the car "Volkswagen Bora"

For the first time a passenger car of German production "Volkswagen Bora" was shown to the public in 1998. A year later, in the 99th, the concern decides on the serial production of this car model. Ironically, the Germans managed to combine the best features of the cars "Audi A3", "Volkswagen Beetle" of a new generation, "Skoda Octavia" and even "Seat Toledo" of the second series in one brand!

But let's move on to the technical characteristics of the Volkswagen Bora. Responses of owners first of all note a wide range of power plants. And indeed, there is something to choose from - the machine can be equipped with one of seven engines. Let us dwell on them in more detail. The petrol line of motors is represented by 5 units with a capacity from 100 to 204 horsepower with a working volume of 1.6 to 2.8 liters. Among the turbodiesels there are two motors with a capacity of 90 and 115 horsepower and the same working volume of 1.9 liters. All 7 power plants can be rightly considered the most reliable and durable in the German automotive industry, as evidenced by numerous testimonials and test drives.

By the way, not only the engine, but also the whole-zinc-coated body can be considered durable. Thanks to multiple tests and modifications, engineers have achieved the longest protection against corrosion. Confirmation of this is the 12-year warranty that the manufacturer provided to its customers. In this case, as practice shows, after the expiration of the warranty period, the car is not covered by rust at all. A striking example are the 14-year-old copies of the Volkswagen Bora sedans, which, it seems, are not going to leave Russia in the next 10-15 years.

As for the cost, to date, to buy an 8-year-old car "Volkswagen Bora" can be approximately for 260-290 thousand rubles. The price depends on technical condition and complete sets. And they have four at the Bora. Given the high level of reliability and comfort of the cabin, this price for today's Russian market is quite acceptable.
