Brazil. Climate and weather of the country by seasons
Brazil - a huge country, most of which is located in the tropics. The climate in some of its regions is very diverse, but mostly hot. Let's look at the weather and learn how the climate of Brazil is changing by months.
Features of the weather conditions in Brazil
The stretching of the territory caused six different types of climatic conditions in the country:
- Equatorial climate - average temperatures from + 24 ° C to + 26 ° C. Almost every day there is a short rain, sometimes a downpour. Vegetation in these territories is a moist equatorial wooded thicket.
- Semi-arid region - the average temperature in these areas is high, about 27 ˚С, even in the cold season it does not fall below +20 - + 22˚С. Rains are irregular and meager. Features of the vegetation of this region are thorny bushes and cacti.
- The tropical climate - from October to April (the Brazilian summer) the weather is wet and warm, and from May to September (in winter) - warm and dry. Possible temperature changes from +13 ˚С to +27 ˚С. Vegetation is dominated by shrubs, as the soil is infertile, with high acidity. Such weather conditions have eastern and central Brazil.
- The climate is high-tropical - typical for the most elevated regions of the Atlantic plateau. In winter, frost and frost are possible here, and heavy rains come in the summer. The average annual temperature ranges from +18 ˚С to +22 ˚С.
- The Atlantic climate of Brazil is typical for its coastal areas. The rains here are plentiful, and the average temperature from +18 ° C with the southward movement along the coast increases to + 26 ° C. The specific vegetation of this region is called the Atlantic forest.
- The subtropical climate of Brazil is characterized by an average temperature of +18 ° C and an amplitude of up to 13 ° C during the year. Summer here is mild and warm, and in winter snowfall is possible. Rains are on a regular basis. The vegetation characteristic of subtropics depends on the height of the area above sea level. On the plains are often found cereals, and in the mountains - coniferous plants.
As you can see, each of these climatic zones strongly influences the weather conditions of a certain locality and causes the formation of a characteristic flora and fauna. The large territory of Brazil is influenced by the equatorial and tropical climate.
