All the ways, like in the "Word", reduce the distance between the lines

If you have recently started working with the text editor "Word", then you may well not know how it changes the formatting of all aspects. In this article, we'll talk only about one of them - we'll tell you how to reduce the distance between lines in the "Word". Agree, because everyone wants to write a document when printing looked beautiful, and such artifacts only destroy this artifact. Therefore, read the article to the end, in order to know how to deal with them.

Superfluous paragraphs

Before you reduce the distance between lines in Word, it is recommended that you first understand the paragraphs. In the sense that sometimes the user can put several instead of one paragraph. It is these actions that lead to the fact that there is a large empty space between the lines.

To reduce the time for finding these nuances, you can use the visualization of non-printable characters. This function is activated by clicking on the icon that is on the toolbar. It is located in the "Home" tab and is indicated by the "¶" icon. Clicking it, you can see all the invisible symbols. The paragraph in this case is also displayed with the symbol "¶".

Now you just need to find the extra paragraphs and delete them. This was the first way, as in the "Vord" to reduce the distance between the lines, but not the last, so we move on to the second.

Problem with interval

The next way to reduce the distance between the lines in Word is to change the style to the No Spacing style. However, this method is recommended to use only if the gap is very large and pronounced. The fact is that this method can fundamentally change all the formatting of your document, thereby spoiling the work.

So, in order to remove large intervals between the lines, you need to go to the "Home" tab and find a section called "Styles". In it you need to select the style "No intervals". If you do not have it on the panel, expand the section with the corresponding button.

If you have the latest version of the "Word", then these manipulations must be done in the "Design" tab, in the "Formatting the document" section. The tool is called the "Paragraph Interval".

We carry out the full adjustment: we open "Paragraph"

Prior to that, we considered ways that do not provide the fullness of actions, they could only change some formatting in a short time. But if you want to remove the gap between the lines and with this do not harm the entire document, it is best to use the full setting. Just now, we'll talk, as in the "Word" to reduce the distance between the lines, resorting to flexible customization of formatting.

First you need to select the area of the text that you are going to change. Then go to the "Home" tab, and in it, in the "Paragraph" section, click on the icon with the arrow pointing to the bottom right corner. The pictograph itself is located in the lower right corner of the section.

We carry out the full adjustment: we set the value

As soon as you do this, the "Paragraph" settings window appears before you. In it, immediately pay attention to the section "Interval". It is in it that all the settings that we need are carried out. You can change the interval between paragraphs and between the lines of the paragraph itself. To do the first, use the counter next to the words "Before:" and "After:".

In the event that you want to completely remove the interval, put "0". If you want to remove the spacing between the lines themselves, use the drop-down list on the right. You can use presets (single, 1.5 lines, double, minimum, exact and multiplier) or enter the value manually in the "value:" field.

So you went through, so to speak, in Word training on the subject, how to reduce the interval between the lines.
