Alexander Shapovalov - biography and creativity

In Russia there are many talented people. Some of them successfully realized themselves not in one field. Alexander Shapovalov is now better known as an outstanding financier working in the Department of Economics. He has been working in large financial institutions of the country for more than 20 years. However, few people know that during the perestroika years he made documentaries. He is in the Guild of Directors and to this day.

Biography

Alexander Alexandrovich was born in the Rostov region in the city of Millerovo, where he spent all his childhood and adolescence. After serving in the army, the future director managed to work in Tushinsky police department from 1980 to 1983, where he held the post of district police officer. Experience in the Soviet police was very useful in the future, when Alexander Shapovalov began to shoot documentary films. Already in 1984 his first picture was published. At that moment he entered the Institute of Cinematography, from which he graduated in 1988 as a graduate director. Throughout his studies he improved his documentary skills.

During his career as a director, he shot more than 20 films, which were relevant at the time. One of the most outstanding works was the film "Unfinished Song", which was released in 1989. He was very popular among viewers of that time and was often broadcast. Alexander Shapovalov chose only acute topics. His previous work as a precinct officer helped create the film "To All Militia Posts," published in 1985 almost simultaneously with the popular picture "Attention! To all posts ».

"Life and death of Peter Freydin"

Shapovalov Alexander Alexandrovich worked at different film studios and made films on various topics. In 1991, when perestroika was already in full swing in the country and troubled time reigned in the country, he touched upon the topic of the infamous GULAG and those who were in camps. Then came the film "The Life and Death of Peter Freydin," which told of Odessa's chansonnier, who was the victim of the repression carried out by Stalin.

Peter Freydin suffered for a performance in a circus with an Italian artist. In order not to get out of a number of artists, he took the pseudonym Petro Fredlinini, for which he got into the camp. He was accused of spying for the Italians. From the end of the thirties to the death of Joseph Stalin in 1953, Peter stayed in prison. Despite his long imprisonment, he did not lose his humor and lust for life. The film completely reveals the biography of the chansonnier and tells about his imprisonment and rehabilitation.

Documentaries

The first documentary of this director was the tape "Dimka", which was popular in the mid-eighties, but in our days is a real cinematic rarity. To shoot Alexander Aleksandrovich approached with great responsibility, so he obtained high-quality and deep films.

Perhaps this was the reason that under the names of his films, little-known directors of the late nineties began to produce their own documentary films. It is now difficult to find the movie "Blessed is who believes" among the mass of twins, "The Unfinished Song" has sunk into oblivion (a picture about the chanson star has appeared under this title) and it is almost impossible to find the "Closed City" on the network.

"Parliamentary elections"

The last film in the career of director Alexander Shapovalov was the film "Parliamentary Elections", published in 1993. She talks about the formation of power in the new Russia. This year has become a turning point for the entire country. It was then, in the troubled nineties, on December 12, the people decided on the composition of the State Duma.

This election was preceded by the autumn political crisis, which is better known as the Yeltsin coup. Official statistics give more modest figures - 150 people. Alexander Alexandrovich in his film spoke in detail about the elections and the events that preceded them.

The election tape was the last in Alexander's career. After that, he decided to change his profession and began to actively advance as a financier. Despite the fact that at that time he had graduated only from the Institute of Cinematography, Alexander Aleksandrovich was re-qualified and started working in Odintsovo branch of one of the Moscow banks. He served there until 1997, and then entered the correspondence department of the financial and economic institute. At the same time, he became chairman of the board of Moszhilstroibank, but he remained in the new position for only a year.

In parallel with his studies, Alexander Shapovalov began to build his career in the Government. He started as a regional official, and later began to work in federal departments. From 1998 to 2000 he worked in the treasury of Moscow. It was from there that his dizzying career began, which gradually led to the position Shapovalov occupies now, the deputy head of the State Debt Department.

Scientific activity

The world of finance and economics so captivated Alexander, that in 2000 he wrote two scientific works published in Tambov. One of the works was devoted to the financial policy of modern Russia, and the second one talked about the international experience of budgetary federalism. Both works were published in the framework of the series "Scholarly notes of the Free Economic Society". The second was in a special issue.

In the same year, another work was co-authored, telling about the treasury system of Russia and how it is changing in connection with the strengthening of the vertical of power.
