The first place in the list of the most-most landmarks of the country is occupied by the historical and architectural reserve "Kamenets". This is a unique area with a total area of 121 hectares. The most interesting is the Old Fortress, built in the twelfth century, it has 11 towers, each of which has a unique history and name. Also in the reserve you can see the Old Town, the New Castle, the Castle Bridge, the Smotrych Canyon.

The second position in the list of "7 Wonders of Ukraine" is occupied by a well-known Orthodox shrine - Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. The date of foundation of this unique complex is 1051 year. This is the first center of the spread of Christianity in Kievan Rus. Today the site is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The third object among the most significant sights of Ukraine is the Khotyn fortress. The city of Khotyn was founded in the tenth century AD by Prince Vladimir. Since the settlement was considered strategic in the Galico-Volyn principality, a stone, not a wooden fortress was erected to protect it. The structure has survived to our days, and it was here that the shooting of many famous historical films took place. These are such paintings as "Three Musketeers", "Robins Hood's Arrows", "Zakhar Berkut" and many others.

List of Ukrainian wonders: continued

The fourth attraction among the most interesting in the whole of Ukraine is the Sofiyivka Park. There is this miracle in the Cherkassy region, near the city of Uman. At the request of his wife Sophia, a unique complex was created by her husband, the famous tycoon Stanislav Pototsky, in 1796, and solemnly presented his beloved angel in her day.

"7 Wonders of Ukraine" - a list that would be incomplete without mentioning the St. Sophia Cathedral. This shrine is considered the main in all of Eastern Europe. The date of construction, according to the "Tale of Bygone Years", is 1037. The object is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, today it is the center of the Kyiv Metropolis.

Chersonese Taurian is an ancient Greek city-state, built over 2500 years ago, located today in the territory of modern Sevastopol. Ancient ruins beautifully rise against the background of the sea, to visit this landmark is definitely worth it.

The last of the 7 wonders of Ukraine, but no less interesting than all the previous ones is the island of Khortitsa. This is the largest land on the Dnieper, isolated from all sides by water, which is interesting, here in a relatively small area you can see all kinds of natural landscapes of the country. Khortytsa is also noteworthy in that one of the first Zaporozhye Sichs was founded on it.

Amazing natural attractions

Ukraine is a country rich in not only historical architectural sights, but also interesting natural sites. After the publication of the results of the contest "7 miracles", the public expressed the opinion that many protected areas and miraculous monuments were undeservedly forgotten in the background of ancient palaces and castles. Many bloggers of the country began to write personally about unique objects and natural sights, worthy in their opinion to become "the most-most". Why argue, because all this is priceless information for Ukrainians who do not know what to do at the weekend, and tourists from other countries planning excursions for the holidays.

Canyons and lakes

On the territory of Ukraine you can see a variety of natural landscapes and attractions. In the informal list of the most interesting man-made monuments of the country, the first line is occupied by the Bukovina Canyon. Rocks, lakes, an abundance of vegetation - this place is ideal for quiet contemplative rest and interesting photo sessions. Another interesting landmark of Ukraine is the Blue Lake. This object is located in the Transcarpathian region, near the Synyak mountain range. It is believed that the lake is not only a beautiful natural object, but also a real natural health resort. According to many, the blue waters of this reservoir are curative.

The active volcano and the magic tree

In the Sumy region is one of the most unusual attractions, included in the list of "Seven Natural Wonders of Ukraine." This is a unique apple-colony. At first glance it may seem that before you is a garden consisting of trees of not quite the right shape. However, in fact, this is one apple tree, whose branches, touching the ground, take root and turn into new trunks. There is a legend according to which the tree was planted by Prince Meshchersky's gardener . There is also an active volcano in Ukraine, it is called "Starunia". To be afraid of it is not necessary, as instead of a lava mud erupts, and here it is necessary to look at this miracle with own eyes. In the vicinity of the unique object were found the remains of a mammoth, if you believe the legends, in the volcano is stored the treasures of Oleksa Dovbush.

Waterfall and basalt pillars

Among the 7 natural wonders of Ukraine there is also a truly unusual magic zone. This is the Birch-covered lake, which in the people is often called Black and enchanted. The water in it is always cold, and even the most perfect technique is not able to establish the exact depth of the reservoir. The people believe that the lake has no bottom, the version of scientists is more prosaic - the bottom is double, the first is false, from moss and spruce needles. In the Rivne region, between the villages of Basaltovoe and Novy Berestovets, you can see the miraculous pillars of basalt, the outlines of which resemble traditional American landscapes. The final in the unofficial list of "7 Wonders of Ukraine" are the Djurinsky Falls and the ruins of the ancient city of Chervonograd. These attractions are very near, in the Ternopil region, and you can view them for one trip.
