What is Loch Ness silent about, or is there a Loch Ness monster?

Lake Loch Ness is one of the largest and mysterious reservoirs of Europe! It hid in the Scottish highlands, it is surrounded on all sides by mountains and cliffs. The length of Loch Ness is about 40 km, and the width is no more than 1 km. The depth of the lake - more than 300 m - makes it the third largest in Europe in terms of fresh water among lakes. Tradition says that in his icy depths, opaque and dark, like a night, dwells ... a Loch Ness monster! About him and talk. As it is not called: the water kelpie, the sea horse, the lake bull, the gloomy spirit. Whatever it was, and parents from century to century forbid their children to be or play next to this pond. Some superstitious people still believe that the Loch Ness monster (photo 1, 2, 3) may well turn into a galloping horse, grab the child and sit him on his back, then plunge into the abyss with a small and helpless rider!

Who saw the Loch Ness monster?

One of the first and most striking observations dates back to the 1880s. It was then that the boatman Duncan MacDonald, who later became famous, was looking for a boat sunk in the lake. But something happened under the water, and he burst out of the lake with a bullet! His face was twisted with fear. When he was brought to his senses, McDonald trembled his lips, but uttered arrogantly that he had seen the Loch Ness monster. He especially remembered his eye - small, spiteful, gray ... Since then, more than 3 thousand various eyewitness accounts have been accumulated, which under certain circumstances allegedly observed the Loch Ness monster from the shore and from the boat. According to them, it appeared in the afternoon. Today, scientists are confident that the size and appearance of this uncaught creature depends on the imagination of one or another person.

The secret of the Loch Ness monster

Everyone saw the monster!

Nessie (as he was nicknamed) saw different people in their profession: from farmers to clergymen. About him said fishermen, lawyers, police, politicians and even ... Nobel Prize in Chemistry - Englishman Richard Sinj! He allegedly watched the monster in the distant 1938-th year.

Useless research

Expensive expeditions were equipped. They studied Loch Ness for months, conducted research and experiments, inspected its surface with binoculars, and hired special mini-submarines to scan lake depths using the latest electronic instruments.

Search results

Hundreds of hours spent on the lake to search for a monster, a whole library of books and articles written on the theme of the Loch Ness monster, a lot of photographs that allegedly captured the real Loch Ness, several festivals called "Nessie," dozens of loud exposures and ... no One real proof of value! Until now, not found any ancient bones or a piece of skin of this plesiosaur.

Not caught, then, not a thief!

In general, no obvious evidence of the existence of an ancient lizard in the Scottish lake has been submitted to the court of experts and scientists. But, however that may be, the most mysterious lake in the world - Loch Ness - still stores its most important secret. Who knows, maybe Nessie is waiting for her time, and soon we'll all open our mouths with surprise?
