What can "names"

In the camp there were also Ukrainian nationalists, and "green brothers" from the Baltic countries, and collaborated with the invaders during the war. The theme of historical understanding, probably, was the main theme of its next program.

The first in the television documentary-journalistic cycle of Oksana Marchenko's programs "Names" was a film story about Metropolitan Vladimir. In it, the Most Blessed appeared as a man who accomplished a feat, stopping the hostility that arose in Orthodoxy in the early nineties.
And then there were many more.

Spirituality of the nation, the role of culture are questions that do not give rest. The famous culturologist, one of the brightest representatives of the Ukrainian intellectual elite Vadim Skurativsky shared his thoughts about this.

On the generosity of the market and the security of freedom, about the disappointment in the leaders who have done everything in the name of perestroika (and the era of change brought most of the disappointment from cherished illusions), spoke with one of the deposed heroes Vitaly Korotich. I do not know about you, but I, honestly, am sometimes shocked by the revelations of Oksana Marchenko's guests. Say, the same Tamara Gverdtsiteli. Have you heard how this Georgian, putting all the Caucasian temperament, sang in Ukrainian - in the language of her mother ?! Or remember the program about the first famous cosmonaut detachment dedicated to the space path of Ukrainian Pavel Popovich: inhuman loads and patriotic pride for his country, the beauty of the Earth and orbital reflections on God - these and many other philosophical, sometimes controversial thoughts are rife in my head to this day.

Other people after watching the program "Names" just want to bow. Among them is the 85-year-old world-famous surgeon Alexander Shalimov, who has been operating since 1941, and if you counted all those rescued by him, then a whole city would be built up. The former Soviet scout, the prototype of the movie hero Major Vikhry Evgeni Bereznyak. And the choreographer of the Ensemble of Virsky Miroslava Vantuh for his position. After appearances abroad, which, as a rule, end with a full sold out, a storm of applause, he says to his artists: it's not applauded to you or to me - it applauds Ukraine!

Of course, the above is not a complete list of those who were given a new light by the program "Names". Such a project has long been lacking not only on Ukrainian television, but also in our journalism as a whole. Since, in my opinion, Oksana Marchenko manages to make his meetings in the style of deep journalism, where in the frame her own person is practically absent.

In exchange for the viewer, not only great personalities appear (not necessarily ethnic Ukrainians, since the heroes of her programs are Russian, Jewish, Crimean Tatars, Hungarians or Romanians, and each of them is ready to give all his strength, talent, That for her - for her only Ukraine), but also entire layers of being, things philosophical and eternal, such that they can completely turn the image and make it live in a new way. Perhaps this is too lofty said, maybe a little up front for such a relatively young yet transfer. But I have the right to my own opinion. And I think, analyzing every new output of the "Names" air, that my review of them is not unfounded.

Oksana Marchenko's television cycle is absolutely different neither from Oksana Pushkina's "Women's Stories", nor on the "Guests of the Studio", nor on "Actors" and other similar television and radio projects, newspaper interviews. Since her programs have united, apparently, many of the best achievements of this genre. And the "Names" are captured, first of all, by novelty, courage, professionalism.

Here it is worth at least a few words to tell about it - about the author. After all, her name has also become popular now. At least among the journalists. On television, she got quite randomly, taking part in the competition of non-professional TV presenters. The main professional skills were received on UT-3. And then Oksana was invited to conduct "Good Morning, Ukraine!", And Marchenko became quite famous. But soon the principal leader did not like the then management of the program and Oksana was fired.

She went on a long vacation. Returning to journalism, without which, as it turned out, still can not, first of all was penetrated not by thoughts of a quick career, but by how to benefit society. And I started on the path of not the least resistance, starting to implement the TV project "Names".

Why do we trample on the spot in our development, when other peoples, who at one time suffered from the totalitarian regime, long ago got out of the crisis, have gone far ahead? Why can not we, Ukrainians, understand ourselves as an independent and independent nation? Why can not we become one whole people? Why are we allowed to mock our history, dictate to us someone else's will, treat ourselves with disdain?

The answers to these and other similar questions are in her deep programs "Names", which every time push more confidently to the idea that we have no reason not to respect ourselves and our land, that it is too early for us to sprinkle ash on our heads while Ukraine has such a huge potential "Human resource" ...

They say that one person can change the course of history. And such examples mankind knows a lot. How, tell me, do not be optimistic, do not believe that we will still have an exit, a revival, a flourishing, when there are so many beautiful personalities in Ukraine ?! Not all of them, of course, will become heroes of Oksana Marchenko's program "Names", but, at least, and for those whom she will light up to us, inspiring for tomorrow, it is worthwhile to thank.
