The tract of Djil-Su. Kislovodsk, Jili-Su

The tract of Gyly-Su, which is known primarily due to its curative mineral springs, is located in the Elbrus region. This place is practically not built up by infrastructure and not habituated by tourists, because it is especially interesting for lovers of wild tourism. We can say that the tract is located on the slopes of the heart of the Caucasus at an altitude of about 2400 meters above sea level. From here you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Mount Elbrus. True climb to the highest point of the mountain is unlikely to come out, but you can enjoy the view.

Sightseeings of Gyly-Su

Lunar landscapes of this magnificent place amaze with its beauty, soft lines of green hills, stone remains, resembling huge castles and mushrooms, noisy waterfalls and unspoiled rivers. And above this magnificent nature majestically rises the snow-covered two-headed Elbrus. There are no hotels, restaurants and cafes, there are no lifts and no asphalt road is laid.

When a person enters Gili-Su, he is immersed in an atmosphere of untouched nature and can fully experience the inexpressible energy of Elbrus. Fans of waterfalls will also find for themselves a lot of interesting. There are two beautiful waterfalls - Sultan and Emir, about 40 meters high.

Mineral springs

But this area is famous not only for its location, its main attraction is the springs scattered along the tract in large numbers. The sources located in the Gil-Su tract are medicinal, and bathing in them is incomparable pleasure. The temperature of mineral waters is kept within 20-25 degrees. The water of these springs is saturated with air and during the bathing the balloons deliver pleasant sensations to the person, incomparable with anything. It is worth noting that long-term bathing in narzan waters is contraindicated, but short water procedures are able to revitalize and cheer up any person.

Internal use of narzan waters

Experts have established that the internal use of mineral waters for a long time promotes stimulation of hormonal and secretory functions of the body. In addition, water from sources has a beneficial effect on the immune system. To cleanse the body of excess salts and slags, it is recommended to use carbonic acid water of small mineralization. Mineral baths, which are famous for the tract of Gily-Su, soothe the nervous system, tone up the body, stimulate the activity of the cardiovascular and circulatory systems, and increase mood.

Useful effects of mineral springs

The tract is not a place that can be understood in one day. Besides, it's not so easy to get here. Therefore, if you have already decided to come here, then be sure to stay here for four to five days, and it's best to stay here for two weeks. This is the time it takes the full course of recovery in the narrown waters of Djil-Su. The road to this place will be remembered for a long time, home you will return a completely different person, rejuvenated and cleared.

Malka River

The current of the river, escaping from volcanic rocks, falls about forty meters down. Around the waterfall a cloud of spray, a little lower, on a mountainous green promontory, under rocks and in caves, people put up tents and build huts from the branches. This is a resort camp around the famous "hot narzan", which appears from the still heated lava masses of Elbrus. Near the river bank there is a small pond - a swimming pool, covered with stones. In this improvised reservoir, "healing" narzannaya water "boils" and flows over the edge with a whole flow of 27 degrees.

Kislovodsk, Jili-Su

Sources in Kislovodsk are much stronger than narzan water. Here, double mineralization and double saturation with carbon dioxide. Healers who are healed from any disease, from tuberculosis, rheumatism, all sorts of female diseases and many other things, bathe the sick and all the relatives who came with them, three times a day - in the morning sun, at noon and at sunset. A few people are sitting in the water, while others are watching them closely, as the patient can become ill. In the intervals between bathing, patients are given blood suction banks.

Then they are steamed in baths dug right in the meadow. The bottom and walls of small baths are heated with bonfires, then they choose ash and spread the burk. She is put on the patient, and then hovers until he is able to withstand the procedure. The camp is designed for about two hundred people. The only building presented in this place is a barn built of stone. There is no medical supervision and no doctors. All visitors feed on what they brought with them or get food from local residents. Narzannye warm baths are very popular and known all over the world. The healing properties of this water are legendary. People come for treatment and prevention to this source from across the country.

Effective sources

It is known that until about the middle of 1909 there were three outlets of warm narzan water. And in one of them the water rose under the influence of gas with a griffin in the form of a cap about a meter in width and about 50 centimeters high. But in the future, all three exits were blocked by a powerful landslide, and the left bank was completely destroyed, since the river Malka had laid its channel in this place. If you now decide to go to the treatment and prevention in Gyly-Su hill, the map will help you find the current sources. Now there are four of them - one of them forms a reservoir, from which warm water with a temperature of 22 degrees flows into the stream.

Approximately 120 meters below Jili-Su there are two more sources: one on the right bank of the Malki River-Sultan, the second-Gara-Su, not far from the first. They also bear the name "Misost-Narzan" - that's the name of the Kabardian who showed their disposition to the researchers. There is a source located three and a half kilometers from the main warm narzan, just below the mouth of the Kara-Kaya-Su river. Its waters are manifested by three griffins with a water temperature of about 9 degrees.

How to get to Urochishcha

To the tract of Jili-Su the road was broken in the early 80s from Tyrnyauz. Not every car will be able to pass here, you need transport with increased terrain. The length of this road is a little more than 60 kilometers, if we start counting from the concentrator - the plant in Tyrnyauz. Now this plant has already ceased its activities, and even existence. Overcoming the serpentine behind the serpentine, climbing up the mountain steep slope, as a result you will be on the pass Shaukam. Then the road stretches along the source of the Shau-Kop River to the point of its confluence with the left tributary of the Islamic river.

It is worth recalling one important point. The resort of Gyly-Su is wild and uninhabited, and people go to these medical, and simply wonderful places to rest exclusively in tents. The road is so difficult and bad that it is impossible to get here, for example, on the van. You can drive only on a good SUV from Nalchik or Kislovodsk. If there is a possibility and a suitable vehicle, you can get to Gili-Su and on your own. Otherwise, you can take delivery and even order it in advance. Find private traders - not a problem. So, there is an opportunity to use the tour in this locality, which organizes travel agencies.
