The meaning of the word "shabold" and examples of use

There are decent words in Russian and not very. Of course, the first is more pleasant to explain, but the latter also need to be interpreted. There is nothing to be done, but today we will tell the reader about the meaning of the word "shabold".

Meaning

The dictionary says that this definition has two meanings:

  1. In the southern regions of our country, the so-called chatterbox. At the moment it is considered obsolete. True, in the first sense the word is pronounced a little differently. They say: Shabalda.
  2. It's the same as a prostitute.

In youth slang is used only in the second meaning. And in general, we do not think that the first meaning is known to anyone, except for those who are engaged in regional dialects or Russian folk art, but this, of course, is interesting.

In some sources, it is touchingly written that the meaning of the word "shabold" is a euphemism for the words "whore" and "prostitute". But, given the general sounding of words, it is unclear which of them is rougher.

For example, Anton Pavlovich Chekhov admitted that he does not like whistling and hissing sounds, so he tries to use words with them as little as possible. Even from the point of view of sound recording, our object of research is extremely inconsiderate.

Signs of a girl of easy virtue

If we talk about the definition of "shabold", then this is a girl who can both give herself away for money professionally, and just be a woman of not the most outstanding moral qualities. But the problem is that when it comes to morality, then disputes begin to be considered a libertine. But usually there are no special torments, because representatives of this class of girls can be recognized by the following signs:

  1. Bright, almost militant make-up.
  2. Vulgar style in clothes.
  3. Such women do not follow the language, often resorting to obscene language.
  4. Do not mind drinking at someone else's expense.
  5. Easily accessible, quickly tear apart the distance, especially if they sense the benefits.

The image was drawn that still. I must say that the portrait captures some limiting option. Here, too, the epoch-making phrase from the movie "Pyan" is recalled: "Remember that I'm leaving with someone who has whiskey." But in the movie heroine, which brilliantly performed Faye Dunaway, - an ordinary alcoholic.

When it comes to the meaning of the word "shabold", it can also be understood as pretty decent girls who use sex as a commodity or an instrument to achieve their goals.

For example, if a girl does not meet with poor students in principle, then in revenge they can call her shabold. But, strictly speaking, she does not have to prefer romantic walks under the moon and foggy prospects to expensive jewelry and exquisite restaurants. Here, each builds his own scale of values, relying on the idea of the proper or ideal.

The heroine of the movie "Pretty Woman" as an example of a prostitute, to which the viewer sympathizes

It is clear that the whole story is a fairy tale about Cinderella in a new way. By the way, you can take a remake by the time. It's also clear that Julia Roberts is such a "call girl" that you just want to save.

But in fact, at the beginning of the story, she also seemed a rather vulgar person. High boots, short skirts, militant makeup, but then miraculously the girl was transformed. And it's not so much about money, how much in good, kind relation to a person.

Perhaps, behind all those signs, which we indicated a little earlier, lies a great human tragedy. In other words, to offend someone, calling shabold (the meaning of the word is already known) is very easy, but it is much harder to understand.

We warn the reader: from the above, we should not conclude that all prostitutes must be saved, because we must understand the differences between artistic fiction and harsh reality. We just want people to be less rude to each other without a good reason.
