In the animated series "Griffins" shows the life of an ordinary American family: parents with three children and a dog. Peter Griffin

Peter is 42 years old. In his youth he worked as a towel handler and so met his future wife - Lois Püderschmitt, the daughter of a wealthy industrialist. Father Lois tried to separate them, first stealing Peter, and then promising him to pay for parting with Lois. However, Peter marries Lois and settles in the town of Quahog.

Peter works on the assembly line of the factory of children's toys, and then becomes a fisherman, buying his own yacht. He repeatedly changes his specialty, working at the brewery, performing the duties of sheriff, school principal and farmer. Free time Peter spends in the bar "Drunk Oyster" with his friends. Peter is very stupid, in one of the series he was even officially recognized as mentally retarded. He likes to drink, joke, very selfish. He never repents of his actions and often behaves like a child.

Lois Griffin

Lois is a 40-year-old housewife. She grew up in a rich family, but her parents were more than indifferent to her (for example, her father refused to buy the kidnapped daughter, not wanting to negotiate with the terrorists). Lois earns extra money, giving the children lessons in piano playing at home. In different series, she worked as a flight attendant, photo model and mayor.

Lois fell in love with Peter for his sincerity and cheerful nature. Although in almost every episode of the animated television series "Griffins" the characters quarrel over Peter's absurd tricks, Lois continues to love him. Lois is portrayed as very correct, but there are a lot of mistakes in her past, about which she tries to forget. So, she was an alcoholic, kleptomaniac, starred in a porn film, participated in fights, and even before her marriage slept with the whole composition of the rock band Kiss.

Stewie Griffin

Stewie is one year old, but he does not grow up during the whole series. This is a very developed child, who is obsessed with the idea of world domination. In addition to wanting to take over the world, Stewie also dreams of killing Lois, but over time, his temperament softens, and such ideas are gradually forgotten. Stewey constantly inventes technical innovations, knows the weapon well, manages to drive a car and a helicopter. In his room there are several hiding places and a hangar for the aircraft. In the animated series "Family Guy" characters can understand Stewie, but from the whole family only Brian and brother Chris can talk to him. The rest of the family does not understand his words, and in all actions only children's leprosy are seen. Stewie speaks well with Brian, although they often exchange hostile remarks. Stewie has a favorite toy - the bear Rupert, with whom he always shares his thoughts and experiences with both the living.

Brian Griffin

Brian is a talking dog of the Labrador Retriever breed. Since he was picked up from the street by Peter, Brian has become a full member of the family. He has many traits that are unique to people: he walks on two paws, speaks English, reads, smokes, drives a car, studies at the university and writes for the newspaper. At the same time in the animated series "Family Guy" characters completely calmly refer to the talking dog. Periodically, Brian gets a job. He was a screenwriter, a school teacher, a writer, a taxi driver and the rank and file of the US Army. In his personal life, Brian often prefers not to dogs, but to ordinary women. So throughout the series, Brian is in love with Lois and once even manages to marry her. In one of the series, Brian is hit by a car, which causes him to die. Then Stewie returns Brian with the help of a time machine, since after the death of the dog it was left without a single friend.

Meg Griffin

Meg is 15 years old, she is the oldest child in the family, very insecure and a notorious girl. In one of the series, a hint is made that Peter is not Meg's own father. She often gets a job by a merchandiser in a supermarket, a waitress, a trainee on television. Meg really wants to make friends and like guys, for which he learns to drive a car and save money for expensive clothes. She keeps a personal diary, which is often read by the whole family. Also the girl constantly falls unsuccessfully in love - then to the director of television, then to Mayor of Cuahog, and in one of the series, even to Brian.

Chris Griffin

Chris is 14 years old, he is an average child in the family. His birth was unplanned, but thanks to this the family was able to buy a house, having surrendered compensation from the contraceptive manufacturer. The underdevelopment and inhibition of Chris, the creators explain by the fact that during the first months of pregnancy, Lois drank and smoked marijuana, which affected the development of the fetus. Chris's favorite hobby is drawing, in one of the series he even opened an exhibition of paintings. Chris's weight greatly exceeds the norm, and he is embarrassed by his body. However, sports and diet did not help him lose weight. Chris constantly scares the monkey living in his closet. He is very afraid of her, but the family for a long time did not believe that the animal really exists.

At the moment, 14 seasons of the animated series have been released, new series continue to be filmed, and the "Griffins" are constantly broadcast on television. The names of the characters became recognizable around the world, and the cartoon had a large audience.
