Rivers in Novosibirsk. A few words about the most famous

Siberia - boundless, covered with mystery and native. For a Russian person, land always meant more than just a territory for living and farming. How much blood and sweat had to be shed, to rightfully call one of the richest parts of the planet home! History knows many examples of heroism and self-sacrifice for the sake of joining the Siberian expanses. What are the camps and tsarist camps worth!

The pearl of the center of Russia became the third largest city in the country - Novosibirsk. A severe Siberian character, a wide soul and intellect, brought up in a difficult climate, are reflected in every building, in each bridge across the Ob and in every building of the famous Academgorodok. And since it is customary to build cities by the water, Novosibirsk was no exception - it is impossible to reach Peter by the number of canals, but the rivers in Siberia are one of the deepest and longest in the world.

Rivers - decoration of Siberia

The pride of a Siberian is a vast network of rivers, lakes and tributaries. Against the backdrop of the severe climate, the reservoirs become even more attractive and mysterious. The rivers in Novosibirsk, covered with thick ice in winter and blooming in summer, are deservedly popular as those who carelessly like to relax with their families near the water, as well as practical fishermen.

And the Novosibirsk has something to boast about: the longest river in Russia and the second in Asia - the Ob - flows through the city, forming a landscape and allowing citizens to spend their leisure time, almost without leaving home. More rivers in Novosibirsk are represented by a fan of small tributaries, rivulets and rivulets, such as Tula in the left bank, Plyushchikha, Inya and Kamenka from the right bank. Let us dwell on them in more detail.

River Ob in Novosibirsk

Ob is born in the Altai, where Biya and Katun merge together, forming a calm stream that carries waves through infinite Siberia. After 3,650 km the river smoothly passes into the Ob Bay, which precedes the cold Kara Sea. The basin area is 2,990 thousand km, it is the largest in Russia. And let the Ob's abundance, she gave way to Yenisei and Lena, this will not disturb the locals and will not make them less fond of their native shores.

Ob not only pleases the eye, it works no less than the population of its surroundings. In the southern part is the Novosibirsk Reservoir, formed by a dam, on which stands the city's hydroelectric power station. Produced energy is sufficient not only for Novosibirsk, but for nearby settlements.

The reservoir was nicknamed the Ob Sea. It became a place of mass recreation. Countless recreation centers, sanatoriums and wild beaches attract Siberians all year round. In addition to entertainment, the Ob can offer a rich fauna interested - about 50 species of fish live in the river, the most valuable of which are sturgeon, sterlet and muxun.

The Tula River in Novosibirsk

But there are stories that can not be proud of. These include the fate of a small, only 72 km long Tula River. Thanks to the annual floods and unconscious townspeople who do not distinguish the shore from the landfill, a small, but proud river almost disappeared from the map. This river, starting its run near the village of Steppe and merging with its older sister Upper Tula, flows into the Ob at the Island of Rest.

But it is not all that bad. In 2009, the government came to its senses and allocated 50 million rubles for the improvement of the facility. Tula was transformed - the canal was cleaned, the surrounding area was refined, and near the third bridge a recreation zone was developed. Today Tula is a part of the best places for leisure.

From the north-east to the south the city is crossed by a small (12 km), but very picturesque Plyushchikha. Feeded by springs, the river Plyushchikha in Novosibirsk flows through a sparsely populated Oktyabrsky district, including the Gusinobrodsky cemetery and the Forest Lake artificially created in the newly built Plyushchikhinsky microdistrict in its ecosystem.

When the construction of a new housing estate began, the river was also not bypassed - they strengthened the banks, expanded the channel and equipped a full-fledged beach with attractions. Boats, sports equipment in the summer and ski rental in winter are now available to all comers.

Inya - right tributary of the Ob

The source of the river is on the Taradanovskoye uval of the Kemerovo region. The Inya River in Novosibirsk has well-developed neighborhoods with many fields, pastures and recreation areas. For 660 km, which the river flows through the Novosibirsk region, many tributaries flow into it. Ur, Kosma and Bochaty are the largest.

During the Soviet period, near the village of Borovoe, a hydropower plant operated to provide nearby villages with energy. Today the station is dismantled.

Near the town of Belovo, the dam forms a reservoir. Local residents affectionately call it the Belovo Sea. The pond serves for rest and fishing - water abounds in fish. This is promoted by water protection zones, which serve to monitor the state of the river.

Take care of rivers, friends

In the years of perestroika, there was no time to think about the purity of water bodies. And the rivers in Novosibirsk fell into disrepair: waste was dumped into the water, and the banks resembled a city dump. Do not blame people - when children have nothing to protect the river from the hand.

Difficult time has passed, children began to eat better, and the turn of the world came. The government, united with private organizations and volunteers, actively cleans and ennobles small and large rivers in Novosibirsk. However, for jobs of this scale, the city budget is not enough. Therefore, new horizons open for cooperation between the state and the private sector.

The first step has already been taken: instead of hiding ponds in pipes and digging them underground, developers began to use the proximity of the equiped river as an additional advantage of the project.
