Then Michael Tevelev - the man who founded the restaurant "Two Sticks" (St. Petersburg) - and could not imagine that his adventure would turn into one of the strongest platforms.

The first institution was opened in 2003 in the Northern capital, and only after 8 years was the opening in Moscow. Today, the restaurant Two Wands is 31 points in two large cities and a popular network of Japanese cuisine.

The management of the restaurant chain was caught up in the desire to bring new notes to the design familiar to visitors. The main idea was to combine traditional Japanese cuisine with American cuisine (it is worth noting that the establishment on Nevsky Prospekt is the only one where apart from the Asian one offers Western cuisine) - it was necessary to display this in the interior. Mandatory condition: to divide the restaurant space into 2 opposite zones.

To implement the idea of leadership, designers had to revise a lot of cult American films, where the action took place in roadside cafes. Thus, in the updated interior, the following details appeared: 50-jukeboxes are standoffs for waiters; On the laminated worktops appeared checkered drawings; Hung neon signs; All seats are made of patent leather, and on the walls appeared comics and portraits of famous Western actors and celebrities.

The American-style zone was organized along large facade windows. Glossy snow-white lampshades coexist with neon signs, and the unusual red color present in the details of furniture, and beckons people to visit the chain of restaurants "Two sticks."

Style division is present in everything: here even the floors and ceiling have their own individuality and are in full harmony with all the details of the interior. Even 2 bathrooms are decorated in accordance with the style direction.

As for the Japanese part of the interior, then in it the designers had to make a few changes. Bar counters and walls were trimmed with wooden panels, an updated shelving system for apples appeared, and partitions appeared between the tables.

New items

Since May 1, the restaurant "Two sticks" has taken several non-standard decisions in the menu section, which turned out to be Mediterranean in summer and easy: a lot of seafood and vegetables.

The pan-Asian part was diluted with a compounded salad of tuna and peanuts; In the Italian cuisine there were dishes with harmonious combinations: smoked duck, cream cheese and curry sauce, and in Japanese - rolls with salsa.

The desserts were moved to a separate card. Now it will be difficult for visitors to choose between a delicate chocolate ganache with meringue and a cake with boiled condensed milk, which is worthy of competition with eclairs and a chocolate cake with mint sauce.

Sbitney (sbiten) is a Russian drink based on water, honey, herbs and spices. Depending on the season, it is served hot or cold.
