Pronin Viktor Alekseevich: biography, books, photo

Pronin Viktor Alekseevich is one of the most famous Russian writers in the genre of detective. His work was highly appreciated by both Soviet and modern Russian readers.

Biography of the writer

Victor Alexeyevich was born in 1938, in Dnepropetrovsk. Unfortunately, little is known about his life until the end of the university. Like many good writers, Viktor Alekseevich did not receive any specialized education. Having graduated from Dnepropetrovsk Mining Institute in 1960, Viktor Pronin decides to get a job in the specialty - at the Zaporizhstal plant, but soon realizes that such work does not suit him. After leaving the factory, a young man decides to get a job as a journalist in a local newspaper - the craving for the letter has already manifested itself, however in a slightly different form.

First experience

In the mid-sixties, Pronin Victor finally decides to do prose. His first story, entitled "Symbiosis", was sent to "New World" and "October", which after some hesitation refused to publish it. So it turned out that Symbiosis first appeared in print only in 1987, entitled "Let's continue our games". However, refusal to publish from major literary journals did not confuse Viktor Alekseevich, and already in 68 he finished his first published work - "Blind Rain." The book enjoyed success both among readers and critics, and, in addition to the name and fee, brought to Viktor Alekseevich an invitation to the magazine "The Man and the Law", to the Department of Morality and Law.

Journalistic activities strongly affected his work - many of his works are read extremely realistic due to the unusual style of writing, in part reminiscent of the style of the criminal chronicle. Thanks to this, the invented by Pronin stories are perceived as if they had taken place in reality and were only documented by the author.

Victor Pronin: books, film adaptation of works

Working in the journal brought much needed experience to Viktor Alekseevich. "Blind rain", well received by the public, was far from the peak of his career, and Pronin understood this perfectly. Hearing criticism and comments in the direction of his "debut", Pronin Victor continues to sharpen the mastery of the detective genre, repeatedly giving out more and more high-quality works.

The pinnacle of "Woman on Wednesdays", which received excellent reviews from the public and critics, especially for a brilliantly thought out plot, a tense atmosphere and interesting three-dimensional characters, is considered the peak of his creative career. The book was so good that in 1998 it was filmed by Stanislav Govorukhin under the name "Voroshilovsky Shooter".

However, this is far from being the only product of Pronin, which has been screened. From the pen of the author came such works as "Sparkling Champagne", "Women's Logic", as well as a series of books "Banda", consisting of eight separate stories - all of the above was filmed during the life of Viktor Alekseevich.

"Blatnaya" themes

Contrary to popular belief, not all Pronin's books are exclusively devoted to crime or organized crime. Of course, work in the "Man and the Law" made itself felt - Pronin Viktor Alekseevich knew perfectly well about criminal jargon, criminal concepts, and in general about the entire undercurrent of the criminal world - that is why his works are considered so authentic.

However, one should not assume that his works can be interesting only to people connected with power structures, because first of all Victor Alekseevich's books can and should be characterized as good detectives. The criminal criminal theme is just a shell, moreover, in demand in the eighties and nineties. In many respects this was the most productive time for the writer: an ordinary citizen who was previously unfamiliar with the jargon and concepts, with the collapse of the USSR, could fully feel how deeply they penetrated into our lives. Most of the popular culture of the nineties in Russia in one way or another is associated with crime and criminality, and Pronin's works were extremely advantageous against the backdrop of mediocre writings of most competitors. As freshness his works gave the use of new canons and ideas - it is believed that he created one of the first and most popular Russian female detectives.

A real detective

"The gaudy theme of the nineties is not more interesting than any other time, just the demand for" dashing "makes itself felt," says Viktor Pronin himself. A detective is his element and passion. The Soviet and Russian criminal subculture is nothing more than a shell, and the stories written by Pronin would have approached practically any place and time. Most importantly, he said, these are characters that inspire confidence - if this is a problem, then no authenticity will save, and vice versa. An excellent example is Women's Logic. The first book in the series, dedicated to the adventures of Olga Tumanova, or "domestic Miss Marple", immerses us in the world of a pensioner who loves to read detective novels.

One of the most popular books by the author of "Women's Logic" perfectly demonstrates that "lawlessness" and "brothers" are not necessary to sell the detective. Instantly loved by readers Olga Tumanova, later embodied on the screen by Alisa Freindlich, serves as an example of a strong independent female character, so rare in detectives, especially domestic ones.
