Player of the Russian national football team Sergey Sergeyev

The mini-football team of Russia is played by football players, both born in the country and abroad. One of the domestic players - Sergeev Sergey Alexandrovich - has been the captain and the real leader of the team for 5 years already. Despite his age, 33, to complete the performance in the national team is not going to.

Carier start

Sergeev Sergey Aleksandrovich was born on June 28, 1983 in Moscow. Like most boys, since childhood he was taken in the game of football and even signed up for a football school at the club "Krasnogvardeets", but at 18 he decided to go to mini-football. Being a very technical player, Sergeyev was able to get into the structure of the capital's CSKA, which included his debut in 2001.

The game for CSKA Moscow

The first two seasons Sergeev Sergey Alexandrovich played for the youth squad of "army men", where he was able to quickly prove himself. The debut for the main team of CSKA took place in 2003, in October of the same year the forward scored his first goal in the composition of Muscovites, striking the gates of the new Urengoi Itera.

The first season in the base ended for the young Russian very successfully - his 19 goals helped the club to repeat the best result in its history - 6th place in the Russian championship.

Every year, Sergeyev's game progressed noticeably, and, after 4 years, he became the team's top scorer, scoring 30 goals in the season, thanks to which CSKA was able to show the best result in history by entering the top five.

In the course of the next championship the Russian became the club's record holder in the number of matches played, and a year later he helped to repeat the team's best result - to become the fifth again.

Going to "Dynamo"

In 2012, CSKA began to experience serious financial difficulties and in the summer announced the parting with the players of the main structure, because of which Sergeyev had to look for a new club. In just 11 years of his career as a member of the "army team," Sergei took part in more than 300 meetings, scoring almost 150 goals.

One of the best strikers of the Russian team was happy to accept the Moscow "Dynamo", which was the current champion of the country. Despite the high level of competition, Sergeyev did not get lost in the Muscovites, having participated in the first season in winning the Russian title, the Cup holder of the country and the Intercontinental Cup, and also receiving the silver medals of the UEFA Cup.

A year later, "Dynamo" lost the status of the current champion, but again reached the final of the European Cup, and for the 8th time in its history took the Cup of Russia. As in the previous season, the Russian account listed 12 goals in the championship, and he did not intend to lower the bar.

The following year, 20 goals of Sergeyev led "white-blue" to "silver", and in 2016, despite the next 12 goals, Muscovites regained the title of champion.

Captain of the Russian team

In 2005, Sergey Sergeyev attracted attention from the coaching staff of the national team with his performance and technical play. The debut for the national team of the 22-year-old player took place in November of the same year - the versatile person took part in a friendly match with Italy.

In order to open an account for goals for the Russian national team, Sergei took a little more than a year - in January 2007, in a friendly match against Uzbekistan in preparation for the qualifying tournament for the European Championship striker finalized the final score in the match.

A month later, the second ball in the Russian national team took place - Sergeev became one of the authors of eight unanswered goals at the gates of Greece. Contributing to the release of the national team for the European Championship, Sergei went to the final for the tournament, where he became the bronze medalist of the continental championship.

Since then, the striker has been regularly called up for the national team matches, received a captain's armband and in 2012 he was able to win the "silver" of the European Championship by scoring 2 goals in the tournament. He repeated this achievement in 2014, having already distinguished himself three times, and in 2016, having distinguished himself only once.
