Pinworms and enterobiasis

Pinworms are round small worms (nematodes) of white color, existing in the intestines of the infected person. The life expectancy of pinworms is about three months. The male is much smaller than the female and has a length of 2-3 mm, the tail end of it is bent to the abdominal cavity. The female has a length of 10-12 mm, it lives an average of one month. During this time she fulfills her main mission: she lays eggs, and then usually dies. The fertilized female has in itself from 5000 to 15000 eggs! From the moment of fertilization, the life cycle of new pinworms begins. The female, as a rule, during the night sleep of a person, descends the intestine down to the rectum and crawls out of the anus to the outside to lay eggs. The female glues eggs in perianal folds, in the perineum, on the skin of the thighs and buttocks. It is in these places that favorable conditions are created for the development of eggs, which require a temperature of 35-36 ° C and high humidity. Within 5-7 hours the eggs of pinworm ripen and begin active life, bringing their owner (person) a strong itch, anxiety and nervousness.

Combing the anus, a person can bring oyster eggs under his fingernails, where there are also suitable conditions for their maturation. In addition, poorly washed hands can become a recurring cause of human infection. After eating with food in the gastrointestinal tract, egg pinworms in two weeks are converted into adults, which begin to actively parasitize again in the lower parts of the small intestine, as well as in the upper parts of the large intestine. Repeated infection leads to the fact that the state of invasion can become chronic.

Pinworms cause disease enterobiosis, which to this day is the most common helminthic disease, especially in children. Symptoms of enterobiasis can not be confused with anything. This is a very severe itching in the perineum and anus, colic in the navel and along the colon, often a mushy stool with an admixture of mucus.

Parasitizing the human intestine, pinworms damage the intestinal mucosa, food fragments enter the blood, which can cause an allergic reaction. Also, mechanical damage to the intestine leads to inflammatory processes in the abdominal cavity, to erosion and hemorrhage. Violated the process of absorption and digestion of food, which leads to loss of body weight. Pinworms in girls, creeping into the genital cleft, can cause inflammation of the genitals. Pinworms can also cause appendicitis if they get into the appendix. To all of the above pinworms give off toxins, upset the nervous system of a person, causing severe irritability, insomnia, headaches.

It happens that the course of treatment with medicinal products can cause serious side effects, then refer to folk remedies and make enemas from garlic. During the illness iron iron underwear, as well as trousers and skirts. Change bed linens every day. Children infected with enterobiasis should be dressed in tight panties and watch that they do not comb itchy places. Linen is also ironed with a hot iron.
