Oriental patterns in the interior

Many know that oriental patterns and ornaments are the most interesting style direction, because it collects all the variety of Arabic, Indian and Asian culture. However, each component has certain style features, characteristics and, of course, differences.

Oriental patterns of the Arabian style represent the entire specific diversity of South-West Asia. This includes the entire Arabian Peninsula and the Northern part of the African continent. In addition, Turkey can be added to this list.

The Indian direction of stylistics is almost completely subordinated to the culture of South Asia, in particular, India. Nevertheless, here you can find some elements borrowed from Persia and Greece.

The Asian direction includes elements with the characteristics of the countries of South-East Asia. Japan, China, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam - that's not the whole list of countries where these eastern patterns came from.

A vector (also a vector element) is the functional part of a drawing. Of the constituent parts of this kind, Persian carpets, world-famous carpets, fine painted carvings, multicolored mosaics and colorful colored dresses - the Hundoor - were created.

In the interior, oriental patterns began to appear around the 18th century. This phenomenon was the inevitable result of the fact that Europe sought to take control of the countries of the Middle East, Asia and Africa. In addition, the "notes of the East" began to penetrate not only into the houses of Europeans, but also into religion, art, and philosophy. Especially widely oriental patterns were used to decorate clothes and decor elements: furniture, porcelain, screens, fabrics, fans. Especially popular is the attractive and mysterious oriental style acquired in the middle of the 19th century.

The eastern patterns were the embodiment of peace of mind, calmness and harmony, beauty and wealth. The versatility of this style is also striking to the layman. There is also the spirit of minimalism, which is so famous for Japanese motifs, and the chic and luxury of palaces with many pillows and accessories. Both examples describe absolutely different features of this style, but in all oriental motifs there are similar moments, such as:

  • Rich colors. However, it can be a calm range, including bright and juicy oriental patterns.
  • The abundance of natural natural materials that are used in decoration.
  • Presence of carvings and incrustations.
  • Squat and low enough furniture.
  • Smooth shapes.
  • Oriental patterns, ornaments and paintings.
  • The presence of mosaics and tiles.

Arab style is characterized by beauty, luxury and lots of traditional accessories. In the color scheme , warm caramel colors prevail, as well as all kinds of shades of red. Possible blue and gold colors.

Moroccan style - the splendor and laconism of forms. A characteristic feature is the variety of colors and combinations.

Japanese style - rigor and simplicity. Perhaps even some manifestation of asceticism. Chinese style, on the contrary, allows for an abundance of furniture and a rich color scheme.
