Mimosa from beads: a master class on weaving. How to make a mimosa of beads?

How to decorate a house? Decorative trees that can be made of fabric, polystyrene, satin ribbons, shells, coffee grains and other improvised materials are best suited. Today's master class will be dedicated to beaded topiary. Beginners are best to start with a simple job, so it will be mimosa of beads.

What will it take to work?

For any crafts you need to buy beads, thin and thick wire, thread, glue, decorative trifles, alabaster or gypsum. If you plan a large thing, in height of 15-30 centimeters and above, it is better to choose beads, bugles, large beads. If the product is less than 20 centimeters, then pay attention to the small beads.

Thin wire is used for twigs, and for the trunk and branches - thick, which is sold in different colors. Acquiring material under the crown of the tree, you do not need to spend money on decorative threads and ribbons. If there is no thick wire, mimosa from beads is made with the help of thin wires, threads, sticks and alabaster mixture. The trunk is then painted with gouache and covered with a colorless varnish.

For plaiting plants you can buy cheap Thai beads. Uneven material in this case will play a positive role. The combination of different shades, transparent and opaque beads creates the effect of both sunlight and shadow areas of trees. You can not make a tree, but weave huge mimosa branches into a vase or a basket. In this case, only wire and beads are needed.

How to make a mimosa of beads?

For a small tree, take a bag of yellow and green beads (about 150 grams), thin copper wire (sold for 30 meters), thick wire for branches, green or brown threads, conventional PVA glue, alabaster, gouache, varnish, wood form .

To make flowers, a thin wire thread yellow beads. Then back off from the edge of 10 centimeters, take one bead and twist the wire by 1 centimeter. Then the end with beads at a distance of a centimeter again twists with one bead. Thus, on the 10-centimeter left leg, you build up the yellow mimosa. Make them in a chaotic order, creating lush twigs.

Leaves weave on the same principle, only from the edge you leave 15 centimeters, and twisting you make from 20 beads, which create a petal. On one branch make the maximum number of petals. Mimosa of beads will be more magnificent if there are many branches.

Then thread tightly wrap the branches of flowers with leaves of 5 pieces. Then you collect them in a whole tree. For the trunk, you can take a thick wire.

The final stage of the master class

We continue the work on mimosa. Put a tree in the pot and pour alabaster, diluted with water (1: 1). For the trunk in this mixture add glue and cover it, creating roughness of the bark with a toothpick. Now it remains only to paint with colors and varnish, and mimosa from beads is ready! By the way, the pot can be decorated with paper, cloth, shells, coffee grains and other material.

If there is no pot, then you can use cups from yoghurt, sauce or large seashells. Instead of alabaster, you can take plaster. Up the pot can be decorated with blades of beads or threads, different buttons in the form of ladybirds, butterflies, flowers.

A simple version of weaving the topiary

If you look at the photo of mimosa, you will see a tree and a bush. The tree has a lush crown, and the flowers interrupt the leaves. And in the bushes, on the contrary, the green color interrupts the yellow, as the flowers are seen on the top. Therefore, for different purposes, do a different number of colors and leaves.

To create lush branches of flowers, the following method is suitable:

  • Cut a thin wire 30 cm long;
  • String 5 beads;
  • Fold the wire in half and twist it by 3-5 mm;
  • Now, on each side, string 5 beads and make similar petals;
  • The flowers are picked up and correct the shape.

Such branches then connect to each other, creating different forms. The result is a natural mimosa made of beads. The scheme of the leaves is almost the same as in the first method. Only take 50 cm of wire and thread on it beads (about 15 cm), twist at the base, receiving a petal. Now you simply twist it, creating relief forms.

Since the wire is bent in half, then from both sides make similar petals, only in different sizes (10, 8 cm). Collect the flowers and leaves in a tree or branches.

Beadwork: mimosa in the basket

In this technique, the leaves are made as spruce needles. That is, we string 10 beads onto the wire, and stretch the second end through the last bead, twist it a bit and also make the second leaf. The more you make such needles, the more splendid the branch. This method is convenient in that the leaves can be given any shape.

Flowers are made from thin beads with eyelets, as in the second version, only at each end of the wire we create 5-6 or more loops around each other to circumnavigate the very first flowers. In this method, more lush and miniature flowers are obtained.

Flowers gather in long inflorescences, which are tightly wrapped in a string under the color of the tree. You can alternate branches with flowers and leaves or mimosa with green only from the bottom. After you create a whole bouquet (if necessary, the ends of twigs are twisted into a long loop for the stability of the composition), insert it into the decorative basket. Adjust the direction of the branches with your hands.

Branches of mimosa from beads

In this version, the flowers are created in a loop way. On the meter wire is sewn 5 beads, which are twisted by 7 mm. Then retreat about a centimeter and again twist 5 beads. Continue twisting according to this scheme. Then find the middle, hold the petal and twist the branch, spreading the petals on different sides.

You can create leaves in any way. Let's consider two more ways of weaving. In the first variant, create "spruce" branches, in the second - leafy. Which option is better, proceed from the fact that you need a mimosa from beads.

Master class on making "spruce" leaves:

  • String the bead,
  • Bend the wire in half,
  • You pass both ends through a glass bead and a bead,
  • Divide the ends of the wire in different directions,
  • String on each side a bead and bugles,
  • String 2 beads through both ends of the wire,
  • Dilute the ends of the wire and repeat the whole process again.

Leaflike branches are made in the same way as loop flowers from 5 beads, only from wire of 30 centimeters.

Basic rules of weaving with beads

  • Buy all the material right away so that you do not get distracted from the process.
  • Place the beads on the cups so that it is convenient to take them.
  • For plants you can buy uneven Thai beads, bugles, beads.
  • Ornaments from Czech even beads.
  • Combine different shades of the same color to create sunlight glare.
  • For branches in a vase, take a large beads and beads.
  • A miniature topiary is best done from small beads.
  • For the trunk, take a few pieces of thick wire of different lengths.
  • Bridle the branches tightly.

From the proposed methods, select one technique to get a harmonious plant. Otherwise, you will get unnatural mimosa from the beads. Weaving schemes can be found in magazines on needlework, but in the above article the work process is clearly described.
