Mica for nails: varieties and features of application

It's no secret that the woman's hands can tell a lot about her age. That's why they need a thorough, and most importantly - regular, care. In this case, it is important not only to lubricate the skin of the hands with nutritious and moisturizing creams, but also to systematically make a manicure. Recently, mica for nails has become increasingly popular. How to use this novelty, you will learn from today's article.

The main varieties

A bright and sparkling manicure with mica with a characteristic volumetric effect instantly attracts the attention of others. Those who first saw this design, are sure that specific materials and knowledge of a complex methodology are needed for its implementation. But in fact, you can repeat this at home.

Mica for nails is a small thin different in color and shape plates with a holographic effect. To date, there are two main versions of this material:

  • Loose mica, similar in appearance to relatively dense pieces of foil. It is often used in building and in aquarium design. To avoid the appearance of roughness, a thick layer of gel is applied to the surface of the material.
  • Liquid mica for nails, which has a softer structure. It evenly falls on the nail plate, so it is often used to work with gel-varnish. Due to the fact that this mica is easily leveled with a brush, it is optimally suited for creating a design on short nails.

Technique for applying conventional mica

In this case, an important role is given to the primary treatment of nails. Before applying mica you need to go through several required steps, including grinding the plate, applying primer and base.

First, the base is covered with a thin layer of colored gel-varnish, which is dried in a lamp for two minutes. Mica mica caught with an orange stick is evenly distributed over the surface of the nail. Depending on the design chosen, thin plates can thickly coat the substrate or be neatly placed at a considerable distance from each other. It is important to ensure that the material does not come out on the side rollers.

After that, the nail is covered with food film. If necessary, the pieces can be neatly spread out with your finger. The finger wrapped in the film is placed in a lamp and dried for about thirty seconds. After drying in a special lamp, you need to make sure that all the pieces of mica lie evenly. Then the nail is painted with finishing varnish and polymerizes within two minutes.

In the end, you should carefully inspect the substrate and, if necessary, treat it with a nail file. For greater reliability on the nail plate, you can walk with a bass. As a result, you should get an absolutely smooth surface.

The second method of applying mica for nails

The varnish of the chosen shade is applied to the base and dried in a lamp. For these purposes, gel-varnish can also be used. On a sticky layer, pieces of mica, captured with a flat brush, are placed well, well leveled, evenly distributed over the surface of the nail and dried for twenty seconds. The top layer is applied from the top, and the manicure is ready.

As a rule, such mica for nails does not need additional polishing with a bass, as it evenly falls and leaves no bumps on the plate and other irregularities. Usually, masters are limited to one finishing layer, but for greater reliability it is possible to apply the second one.

Recommendations for creating certain design elements

First you need to paint the base in the chosen color, dry it thoroughly and remove the sticky layer. Then you can start creating drawings with gel-varnish. This can be geometric shapes, stripes or flowers with wide petals. Patterns are dried without removing the sticky layer. Then they are applied mica nails and carefully shaded with a brush. Pieces will be fixed only where there are sticky areas.

After removing excess material, the base is covered with top and decorated with bizarre patterns. Remove the remains of mica with a dry brush. At the end of the procedure, the finished design is covered with a second layer of top.
