The drug "Alpha D3 Teva" helps to restore the positive calcium balance, therefore, the intensity of bone resorption decreases and, thus, the risk of fracture is significantly reduced. The use of the course of this remedy can reduce muscle and bone pain, improve coordination of movements, and increase muscle strength. Therefore, the probability of falls and the receipt of various injuries is reduced.

Alfa D3 Teva - instructions for use

After taking this medication very quickly absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract. The maximum amount of medication in the blood is noted after 8-18 hours. The action of the "Alpha D3 Teva" is already six hours after its reception and lasts for 48 hours. Since vitamin D3, which is present in this preparation, differs from the natural one, its biotransformation in the kidneys does not occur. Contraindications to the use of Alpha D3 Teva

The medicine is not assigned:

- if the patient has an increased sensitivity to soy, peanuts, alfacalcidol or any other components that make up his composition;

- if the patient has an increased sensitivity to vitamin D and shows intoxication with this vitamin;

- in those cases when the level of calcium in the blood is more than 2,6 mmol / l, and the concentration of phosphate calcium is more than 3,7 mmol / l;

- in the presence of alkalosis, if the pH of the venous blood exceeds 7.44;

- Children under the age of 6 years and if their body weight is less than 20 kilograms.

Possible side effects after application of the drug

In cases of non-compliance with the dose of Alfa-D3 Teva, calcium may increase in the blood, but it decreases after discontinuation of the drug. Signs of such an increase may be gastrointestinal disorders, fatigue, dry mouth, bone and joint pain, anorexia, the appearance of moderate muscle pain.

Caution is necessary to prescribe the drug to people who have a predisposition to hypercalcemia. Especially it concerns those patients who have urolithiasis. Such people need to regularly monitor the calcium content in urine and blood.

If there was a one-time overdose of the drug, there is no harm to the body, but with regular overdoses, hypercalcemia may occur.
