One of the most extraordinary cities in Russia is St. Petersburg. The Prospect of Enlightenment is in the north of the city. One part belongs to the Vyborg District, the second - to Kalinin, and the third - to the historical district of Shuvalovo-Ozerki.

Description

In each megalopolis there is a historical center and outskirts, especially distinctions appear in such cities as St. Petersburg. The Prospect of Enlightenment appeared in the second half of the 20th century and became one of the main transport highways of the city. Its length is almost 7.5 kilometers. It serves as the border of two administrative districts - Vyborg and Kalinin. Its name was given in honor of education workers. Active development in the area of the avenue took place in the 70-90s, therefore, the architectural originality of most of the buildings does not shine.

In modern conditions, many cities are changing their appearance, and St. Petersburg is no exception. The Prospect of Enlightenment today is built up by the buildings of modern architecture and keeps the remains of old times. There are not many sights within the city's artery, so the attitude towards them is tremulous. The green zones are represented by Ivan Fomin's garden and the Nameless Square, where a wooden church dedicated to Antony of Siya is located.

The metro station Prospekt Prosveshcheniya (St. Petersburg) is one of the busiest. It is located near the intersection of two avenues - the Enlightenment and Engels. The second station, "Grazhdansky Prospekt", is built at the intersection of Prospekt Prosveshcheniya and Civic Avenue. Terrestrial municipal transport - high-speed tram route number 100 and ordinary tram number 58, trolleybus line, there is an exit to the railway station "Murino" (intersection of Prospekt Prosveshcheniya and Rustaveli street).

Wooden church

Many of the old temples are filled with St. Petersburg. The Prospect of Enlightenment in the area of Nameless Square has its own landmark - the wooden church of Anthony of Siya. It was built in early December 2003. The architects of the church were Yaroslavl carpenters, the building was decided in the architectural traditions of the Russian North. There is a small belfry here, the glades are covered with a ploughshare. Later on in this place the erection of the monastery of Antonievo-Siisky monastery is planned.

In the future, a stone church for six hundred parishioners, a hotel building with a library and workshops of folk Arkhangelsk crafts, should appear. Compound belongs to the Archangel Diocese. Address: st. Olga Forsh, building 5. A carved wooden iconostasis became a bright and original decoration of the church.

Shuvalov Manor and Park

Many eminent people had country estates, where they left periodically, leaving St. Petersburg. The Prospect of Enlightenment appeared in the 70s and was on the outskirts of the city. If today walk a little walk from the metro station with the same name, then the out-of-town residences of the Petersburg nobility - Alexandrino, Priory Palace and a little aside Shuvalov's estate. On the territory are the Napoleonic ponds, the pseudo-gothic church of Peter and Paul, built by Countess Polje in memory of the deceased husband.

Next to the church, in the Crypt of Adolf, lies the ashes of Count Polje. According to rumors, one of the underground passages, which Shuvalovsky Park is famous for, is built from the crypt . How much this is true is unknown. The palace is built in the spirit of classicism. It is not always possible to penetrate the territory, today there is a research institute here, but if the luck smiles, then the walk will be unforgettable.

Monument to Shostakovich

Most of the monuments and sculptures are concentrated in the center of the city, and they are famous for St. Petersburg. The Prospect of Enlightenment is decorated with a monument to the composer Dmitry Shostakovich. It was opened in 2009 and became the first in St. Petersburg. Maecenas, who gave money to the monument, was the owner of the shopping center "Grand Canyon", in front of which a monument was erected. Installation of the sculpture was accompanied by difficulties in coordinating the place with the city authorities, the composer's relatives asked to install a monument near the apartment where the author of the "Blockade Symphony" lived during the work on the work. But everything was successfully resolved, and the monument to the famous Petersburger pleases the residents of the avenue and nearby streets.

Sculpture of a teacher

Many unexpected monuments are stored in St. Petersburg. The Prospect of Enlightenment and its surroundings are decorated with several objects - a monument to a cannon, who likes to make appointments, and sculpture of a teacher. An amazing monument to pedagogical work is set to the south-east of the avenue, at the intersection of Ushinskogo Street with Teacher's Street. The author of the project was sculptor Andrey Gulyaev and architect Stanislav Odnovalov. Sculpture represents two hands that release birds into the sky, it was discovered in 2010. The pedestal is decorated with embroidered words of the teacher Ushinsky: "The teacher's business is modest in appearance - one of the greatest things in history."

Metro station

One of the busiest streets of the northern capital is Prospekt Prospekt (St. Petersburg). The subway to the avenue was laid by 1988. The "Prospekt Prosveshcheniya" station is one of the few where, if necessary, systems of a ground-based anti-nuclear defense system can be used.

In the original construction project, the station lobby was an integral part of the production and household complex, which was planned to be built in two stages. But, since 1989, funding has been declining, and plans have not been implemented. The wasteland intended for building was first occupied by a spontaneous market, and then a huge shopping and entertainment center "Nord" grew up here.

Annually many people come to St. Petersburg, metro station Prospekt Prosveshcheniya (station) until 2006 was the most northern in Russia. The underground part of the structure is located at a depth of about 65 meters and is built on a column-wall principle. For finishing used natural stone - white marble, gray granite and a natural stone of warm dark red shades. Exit from the station to the Prospect of Enlightenment (St. Petersburg).

The metro requires abundant lighting, and it is represented by original lamps and shades. The end wall of the station is decorated with a large niche lamp. The side halls are illuminated by ball-shaped chandeliers mounted on columns, and on the side of the central passage - with glass shades mounted in the cornices. The passenger flow enters the station using four escalators.

Accomodation

In the 70-80s, the chief architect of the city G. Buldakov managed to realize some of the development plans on Prospekt Prosveshcheniya. Experimental apartment houses are more spacious apartments with a convenient location of rooms. Schools are equipped with swimming pools, large sports halls, and the adjacent yards allow you to spend your free time in peace with all tenants.

In the plans for the development of infrastructure there were trade complexes, residential high-rise buildings, a hotel. Prospekt Prosveshcheniya (St. Petersburg) today is built according to other plans, but all the necessary facilities for a comfortable life here.
