Browning pistols - the basis of modern weapons

The Browning pistols were created by the great designer Jonon Moses. He developed mechanisms for many weapons models of the time. But he was glorified for the whole world by a pistol made using the latest technologies, which served as the basis for modern weapons. No copy of those that can be seen today, would not have appeared, were it not for the invention of John Moses.

Browning pistols combined power, compactness, special forms for permanent use. Ammunition was completely new cartridges of caliber 7.65, which possessed good penetrating abilities. The bullet quite accurately hit the target at small open distances.

During the first year of cooperation with the company Colt Browning was able to create only two versions of the automatic pistol. The mechanism of both worked under the influence of powder gases at the time of the shot. In one of the samples, a reliable locking of the bolt was achieved by reducing the barrel, it was this system of the Browning gun that went into mass production ordered by the US Army.

One of the brightest models of the famous armourer appeared in 1900. The automatic, compact, easy-to-use, convenient and rather powerful copy marked the beginning of the era of the development of self-loading pistols. Browning's weapons were unique in all technical specifications. For a long time he had no worthy analogues even among the revolvers, widely used at the time.

In addition to all the advantages, any weapon has a number of drawbacks. The main ones were deformation of the fighting spring, an unreliable safety mechanism and a weak bullet killer force. But this only influenced the gradual refinement and improvement of the legendary pistol.
