Biography

Brian Johnson was born in 1947, October 5, in the UK, in Dunston. It happened in a small house not far from the railway. His father was a military man, participated in World War II. He fought in Italy and Africa. The mother of our hero is a native of the first of the listed countries.

Brian Johnson, while still a child, sang in the church choir. There were noticed his good vocal data. For a while our hero even took part in one famous show. At the age of 15, the future musician left school to get a turner profession.

Creativity and other activities

Brian Johnson entered college and two months later formed his own successful group called The Gobi Desert Canoe Club. At the age of 17 our hero was drafted into the army. He has been serving in Germany for two years. After three months he spends his time working as a draftsman. In 1971, our hero with his friends creates a group called Buffalo. A year later the band accepts a new guitarist, after which the name USA takes over. In 1972, the team signed a contract with the London-based company Red Bus Records and renamed itself Geordie. The support of the studio does not allow musicians to get out of poverty.

After moving to capital London, the team went better, but until the collapse, which occurred in 1976, Geordie never managed to gain popularity. In 1975, our hero releases a solo single titled I Can not Forget You Now. This work was not very famous. Two years later, the musician tried to create Geordie II. During this period, he made a living by repairing cars. Soon he heard about the AC / DC group. After some time Johnson was invited to this collective.

The musician got to the band by accident. After the departure from the life of Bona Scott, a fan sent the candidacy of our hero to the team manager Peter Menchy. About his enrollment the musician learned among the latter, it happened in 1980. Until that moment, he was a member of the Geordie group.

In 2016, Brian Johnson was diagnosed with a disappointing diagnosis. Doctors recommended to suspend the concert activity, otherwise the vocalist is threatened with hearing loss. As a result, our hero made a statement that he was leaving the collective.

Brian Johnson in 1973, together with the band Geordie released the album Hope You Like It. In 1974 there appeared a record Do not Be Fooled by the Name. In 1976 the work Save the World was released.
