The fountain in Sochi is made in the form of a fire bird, which with its powerful wings hugs the bowl of the lake. The prototype of the composition was the Firebird - a famous character of Russian folk tales. The authors of this unique project portrayed a magical bird with spread wings and a highly raised, upward-directed head. It is crowned by a crest, which became the Olympic flame.

The bowl of the fountain has a diameter of seventy-five meters. The complex includes two hundred and sixty-four fountains with autonomous illumination. The design has special guns, which let water jets to a height of more than seventy meters. Less weak "tools" throw water at a height of thirty meters. In total, the complex has 252 guns. This number includes mini-guns (264 pcs.) And hyper-guns (6 pcs.). The fountain is controlled from the control panel, which combines all its functions.

In the evening the performance begins at 20.00 and lasts one hour. Since September it starts earlier - at 19:30. And since November, a great show can be admired from 18:00.
