Mikhail Ardov, Protopriest: biography and photos

The little boy was born and raised in love. Received a good education. I learned everything good and not very good. And I was able to rework knowledge into a completely unpredictable result. What has turned out, not everyone likes. He does not strive to be smooth and predictable. His fame and non-ordinary views speak of a mighty willpower and unbending character.

A family

The family always leaves a deep imprint on a person's life. This is a kind of start. The further trajectory of development of destiny depends on what the beginning was. Ardov Mikhail Viktorovich was born in a creative family. His father, Victor Efimovich Sigberman, was a writer. At one time I had to take another name - Ardov. Mom is a famous actress Nina Antonovna Olshevskaya. The family had three sons, as in the Russian folk tale. In addition to Mikhail, his brother Boris and stepbrother Alexei Batalov grew up in the family. Both brothers chose the mother's path, became actors.

Creative impulses were in the air and were assimilated by the little Misha along with the mother's milk. But he did not want to become an artist. I decided to follow in the footsteps of my father. And he became a writer-publicist.

Childhood and youth

The year for birth was not the most successful. Mikhail Ardov was born in Moscow on October 21, 1937. The family did not live in the same place from the birth of the baby. From Lavrushinsky lane in 1938 they left for Bolshaya Ordynka, exchanging an apartment. Here he reached adulthood. Mikhail begins his independent life on a new address. He spent the sixties in Golikovsky Lane. One thing remained unchanged: Moscow.

Childhood took place as with all peers in the heavy military and the first post-war years. In the last military year of 1944 he goes to the first class in one of the schools of Zamoskvorechye. He studied at this school for three years. Then parents transfer the boy to school number 12, which was located in Staromonetniy lane in the Yakimanka area. The second school was the last.

In 1954, Ardov received a certificate and entered the Moscow State Library Institute named after Molotov. He did not study there for long, something went wrong, I had to quit school. The next year he became a student of Moscow State University named after MV Lomonosov. Lomonosov Moscow State University. The Faculty of Journalism has become for the young man exactly what the soul was for. In 1960 he received a diploma and a literary profession.

Professional Path

The young specialist did not look for a job for long, beginning to work as an editor at the All-Union Radio. The work is fascinating, but I wanted to write. In 1962, Mikhail Ardov became a professional writer and wrote selflessly and a lot. The result of his creative career is his membership in the Committee of Moscow Playwrights.

Spiritual development

1964 sharply changed the views of the writer. He is baptized in the Orthodox faith. By the end of the sixties, Mikhail Ardov completely abandoned journalism, ceases to appear in bohemian companies. Three years after his baptism, he was churchworted. Since 1967, he serves as a subdeacon in the temple of "All Sorrowful Joys" on Ordynka. To worship the icon of the Mother of God comes a huge number of believers. The young deacon on Bolshaya Ordynka attracted his eccentricity.

Two days in 1980 became a turning point in the fate of this man. A week before Easter on Palm Sunday, Mikhail Ardov, at the St. Innocent's Church in Yaroslavl, was ordained deacon. A week after this important event, at Easter, Metropolitan John (Wendland) ordained him to the priesthood.

With the blessing of Metropolitan Michael Ardov, Archpriest, sent to serve in village parishes. Small villages of the Yaroslavl diocese, then the Moscow region of the Moscow diocese. Thirteen years of serviceable service by the priest in the parishes of the Moscow Patriarchate flew imperceptibly.

Gap

1993 year, summer. There is an unforeseen event: the priest Michael Ardov breaks legal relations with the Moscow diocese. He becomes closer to foreign Orthodoxy. He is appointed cleric of the Suzdal Diocese of the ROCA (Russian Orthodox Church Abroad). The diocese was headed by Bishop Valentin (in the world of the Rusans). Together with his mentor, Michael goes into schism.

In 1995 he became a clergyman of the ROAC (Russian Orthodox Autonomous Church). Until 1998, this organization had a different name: the Russian Orthodox Free Church. The ROAC is considered to be independent of the ROCA both administratively and canonically. At the head of the church was its organizer and spiritual instructor, His Grace Valentine.

Special views

On many things Father Michael has his point of view. This is clearly seen in relation to the Olympic Games and sports in general. He believes that it is unacceptable for a true Christian to engage in physical education, and sport, all the more. He finds the explanation in the Holy Scripture: a Christian should not attend a mass spectacle. There is another proof: sport is caring for the bodily, for flesh. A truly believer must take care of spiritual exaltation.

Mikhail Ardov (archpriest) has special views on the Orthodox Church. He believes that the ROC too closely interacts with secular authorities. Father Michael explains this in a peculiar way. In his opinion, the modern Orthodox Church was formed during the Great Patriotic War to unite the people of the USSR against fascism. Stalin created two organizations on the same model - the CPSU and the ROC. When the party alone could not resist the Wehrmacht troops, support was required. A difficult 1943 was the year of the birth of a new assistant to the CPSU - the church. In doing so, he gives evidence of his point of view. Both organizations have similar features: church councils are party congresses; Heretics are enemies of the people. There are martyr heroes and leaders: Patriarch - Secretary General.

Conflict of the official and autonomous churches

His views Archpriest Michael Viktorovich Ardov does not consider it necessary to hide. And openly expresses them. In the nineties he through the newspaper "Izvestia" expressed his negative attitude towards the restoration of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, which was initiated by the Mayor of Moscow Yuri Luzhkov. Father Michael publicly promised never to cross the threshold of the resurrected temple.

The beginning of the twenty-first century was marked by open criticism of the ROC. In 2006, the activity of the ROAC led by him caused sharp criticism of the deputy chairman of the Department for External Church Relations, Archpriest Vsevolod Chaplin. Meetings on the air became the arena for discussions between Mikhail Ardov and Deacon Andrey Kuraev. Both Ardov considers both the "ideologists of the Moscow patriarch". The September 2006 broadcast of one of the Friday programs "Novoe vremenko" found its response in the print media and caused a big resonance in the society.

Literary achievements

During all the years of service to the God, the priest Michael Ardov does not leave the literary field. Biography of many celebrities is reflected in his works. The life and creative path of the poet Anna Akhmatova he presented in all greatness and diversity. Not only Akhmatova, but other giants-creators were interested in the publicist. The names of his books speak eloquently about the content: "The legendary Ordynka. Portraits »,« Great soul. Memories of Dmitry Shostakovich. "

The author was able to describe, to interest the reader with the plot. Read and discuss the main ideas of such books as "Little things arch .., proto ... and just a priest's life", "Capital Truth", has become a necessary need of the thinking intelligentsia.

The result of today

As if Mikhail Ardov had been trying to do this all his life. Biography of the son of creative parents, the journalist is full of sharp turns. Today he is the rector of the church in the name of Tsar Martyr Nicholas II and all the New Martyrs and Confessors of Russia, which is located at the Golovin cemetery in Moscow. He is a clergyman (archpriest) of the Russian Orthodox Autonomous Church.

He is known first as a Soviet, and then - as a Russian memoirist and publicist. His works are read not only by believers. To consider the position of the opponent, to form his opinion, to find support for his searches help the extraordinary publication of Ardov.
