Instructions for use

For therapy use various forms of medicine "Ketanov". What does the dosage and treatment scheme depend on? Intramuscularly the drug starts to be injected with a dose of 10 mg, then, if necessary, go to a volume of 30 mg, which is used every 4 hours. The maximum daily amount of the drug should not exceed 90 mg, for the elderly - 60 mg. The injections can not be used for more than two days. If necessary, patients are transferred to the reception of "Ketanov" tablets. Dosage (maximum daily) of this form of the drug is the same as injection. Tablets should be taken 1 piece every 4-6 hours. The duration of therapy should not exceed one week. People weighing less than 50 kg, patients older than 65 years, as well as patients suffering from kidney pathology, should take the medicine in a reduced dose. Ointment should be applied several times a day on painful areas in an amount not exceeding daily volume. From a toothache it is necessary to take 1 pill. After six hours, the use of another pill is acceptable.

Side effects and contraindications

In some cases, negative reactions may occur after using the Ketanov drug. So, the medicine can provoke nausea, diarrhea, headache, drowsiness, increased sweating, dyspepsia, asthenia, palpitation, dry mouth, nervousness, dizziness, myalgia, hyperkinesia. It is forbidden to take medicine for nasal polliposis, bronchial asthma, blood clotting disorders, dehydration, hypovolemia, stomach ulcer and intestine.
