Atenolol - instructions for use

The drug Atenolol, the instruction for use refers to the pharmacological category of beta-blockers. It is prescribed for disorders of the autonomic nervous system. The drug is used in cases of diseases that are characterized by high blood pressure:

  • Angina pectoris (angina pectoris);
  • Ischemic heart disease;
  • In the post-infarction period.

Medication Atenolol ratiopharm is effective in the treatment of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, atrial depolarization. It is also prescribed for other symptoms of heart disease: heart pain and rhythm disturbances.

The main active ingredient in the preparation is atenolol. Instruction for use contains an exhaustive list of diseases in which the reception of this medication is indicated. These are diseases such as hypertension, various types of tachycardia, cardiac syndrome, hypertonic dystonia. The medicine is also used for complex therapy of cardiac dysfunctions.

There are significant contraindications to admission. - On the part of the gastrointestinal tract, side effects when taking this medicine may be nausea, abdominal pain, dry mouth, less often - vomiting, diarrhea and constipation.

Also as side effects may be various kinds of allergic reactions in the form of itching, rash, dystrophic skin changes.
